DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

going to the race in Monterey is how I can get DH onboard with a CA vacation!!

:sad2: OK, I fell asleep last night waiting on the women's gymnastics to finish. I made it thru their 1st 2 events but started nodding off waiting around. Just too late for me. It was funny to see MaryLou Retton again...she was from very close to where I was from in WV...actually I went to college in her home town...she looked good.

Today is crunch day for the cleaning before family comes tomorrow...must clean 3 bathrooms (am washing up bathmats etc. as I type) + must finish cleaning the first floor and the 2nd spare room. I am such a pack rat. I got so many piles...I went to Target after dropping DS off at camp and bought some more rubber storage bins! :scared: I figured it would be quicker to just put stuff away than to actually take the time to go thru stuff one thing at a time...too tedious!:rotfl: I have to be pretty much done by 3:30 'cuz DS has an eye exam at 4:15. I figure by the time we finish that and probably pick out new glasses we will be there for 2 or 3 hours...that's just the way that sort of appt. goes. Then it will be evening and I will be SOL on my time!:rolleyes1

(And ummm...what race in Monterey? )

i don't know..DH is always talking about going to some car race in Monterey...then going to Sonoma for a winery thingy...if it gets me in the Peeps state..I am all for it!

Must be checking out "race thingy". Wonder what I'll get if I google that.

Racing thingy:lmao:

Racing in Monterey = Laguna Seca. Sears Pointe/Infinion Raceway is in Sonoma. Our friends go to NASCAR there each year. Stymie has been there for drag racing.

When you coming West?

according to web site, beeg race thingy is early August. Was ~8/8 this year. There's gotta be other races throughout the spring/summer me thinks

WHOA! Those are beeg pictures!! How come photobucket does not hold the size adjustment when I move them over here to the DIS?? GIGO I suppose eh? Good Old user error me thinks....

You don't really get a feel for how beeg he is. I will try to post another pic. It was hot and he was letting us spray him with a plant mister.

it would be the one that was this weekend..guess that means next summer!!

Ok everyone look at the clouds in this picture relatively low on the right. Its a Mickey head!! About maybe 6 inches above the Edit button.

Chris doesn't do car racing so we'd have to find something else for him to do. He'd probably golf.

Cute bunny. Everyone should have a yard bunny named Leroy!

GERT! you have a BUNNY!! :lovestruc I love bunnies! Leroy is so cute! You didn't say you had a bunny! OK, and a "yard bunny" means?:confused3 He has a pen outside and does not have visitation rights to the inside of the house?! I need more information about the bunny thing! Is it cruel to keep them outside in the winter? I had one outside when I was a kid but it felt so mean in the winter! DS and I wanted to get a bunny at the fair! I told ya'll about that leetle black lop! He was so-o cute! But not sure about keeping such a varmit! We have a neighbor across the street on the other side of the court that HAD a bunny a couple years ago. BEEEG bunny....I forget what kind....but it was BEEEEG and FURRRY!!! Anyway, they kept it in their garage. Well, she is ummmm...of...asian decent. And so one day she gets all fung whatever and decides it is a sin of some sort to be keeping this bunny in a cage. So she lets it out so it could also be a "yard bunny". Problem here is that they live on a corner and do not have a fenced in yard.:rolleyes1 So this BEEEEG bunny is hopping around all loose & everything and they leave on vacation. Other neighbor is in charge of watching after "things" while they are gone. Yeah. You know it. They found the head I think. Rest of BEEEG pet bunny was sumthin's dinner!!:sad2: Hello!? Anyway, I noticed last week that their garage door was up a few inches again and I heard they got another bunny.:confused3 I sure hope they don't get all righteous about this one & set it free!

OK, so as I suspected...DS's better eye had caught up to his worse eye...his vision is about 20/100 now in both eyes...not HORRIBLE but enough that he really should be wearing them all the time now...so we picked out new frames (blue this time). They should be ready a little later this evening. So we came home so I could do some more work around the house VS shopping while we wait! Will go back later to pick them up... Hummm...speaking of doing more work, guess I'd better get back to it - I am a long way from done!

Annie - yard bunny is a Flemish Giant. We bought him, OK I bought him when he was a wee babe and brought him home around Fathers Day. He will be about 23 lbs when full grown. So he will be able to defend himself no problem. Our cats don't bother him. Dog at this point seems OK with it but we don't let them spend too much unsupervised time together out there.

He does have a cage outside. It is in the planter bed - he can hop in and out for food and water, etc. We do currently put him in at night. Winter is not a problem here. I think if we expect too much rain or a cold snap I will move him either closer to the house or put him in the garage.

Other than that he hops around during the day and keeps himself amused. When we are outside he investigates what we are up to and if it does not appear too fun he hops off. He is intrigued by the slide on the play structure.

I know people have box trained rabbits and kept them inside. Stymies college friends had one that even played fetch. But I don't know if your cats would be into that. Competition for your drapes and all.;)

I guess you could buy your rabbit a small propane heater and keep him warm! Do you have a mud room or laundry room where you could keep him during extremely bad weather? I say do some research if you can box train one or use an odor control litter I say go for it. They are cute and fuzzy.

Chris doesn't do car racing. Well too bad. Chris will do car racing. Chris does not have a choice. Unless he wants to do Chicklette-ish things. Golfing is not an option. The courses near there stink anyways.

And I agree. Everyone should have a yard bunny named Leroy. Or Stitch. Or Jumba. Or Pleakley.

Just got back from the big outlet mall..whew..I am tired but got the last of Kate's uniforms and sneakers...

Now, we have a hurricane to deal with!

Stay safe, you FL peeps! Love the Drama Queen, ophie. :lmao:

Cute pics, Johnna! We have a yard bunny, but just because he hops around in our yard, and street, and whole area. I think I will name him Leroy next time I see him. ;)

So, Cam has suddenly been on a Dis kick. He keeps reading our thread looking for peeps. He also thinks we should do a WDW peep meet trip. Hes addicted to you guys.

Hey Cam....GO CLEAN YOUR ROOM! :rotfl2:
