Somebody will have to clue me in on this Facebook thing one day...how is it different than "My Space"?! (Not that I understand that one either! )

SO-O I am in the middle of making dinner. On the grill. And of course, I have been asking DH to get a tank refilled ever since we got home...he can get them done at his work with his discount for only like $10 or something...VS the like $20 or whatever at Home Depot. So 'bout 7:00 I think it's probably pre-heated & I go out to put dinner ON it and HUMMMM...Cold as could be! So now I am waiting on DH to come home from Home Depot with a refilled tank. At this rate we will be lucky to eat by 8:30. I just KNEW we had to be getting low on gas. Just knew it. Mental note for next year...remind DH twice a day instead of once a day!

I have been right clicking on pics & saving them into my vacation pic folder on my computer. I have not finished editing & uploading all my pics to Shutterfly yet - but when I do then I can just upload them & order prints of them that way...

There is no problem with "ghost" ressie bookings of cruises. You just have to pick a date that you want to go on for sure before the 75 day deadline. I realize that this does impact FL residents that waited to see of the cruise had FL resident rates come out and then moved the cruise if there was no discount but if you know when you want to cruise and pay your balance, you may get a nice suprise refund (like some FL residents that I know just did).

WHEW! I got scared for a few minutes! We re-booked but know we can't go again for a few years...I'm really hoping to use that discount for the new ships...esp. since my envelope fund has been sidetracked for the last 5 months! I have also been saving up miles on our credit card for about 6 years...plan was to wait for BEEG trip...although lately the airfares to FL have gone thru the roof... Anyway - glad I misunderstood that one for a change!!

Tim is correct. This policy will NOT affect any onboard booking that is booked as a dummy date AS LONG AS THE CHANGE IN THE DATE DOES NOT FALL WITHIN THE PENALTY PERIOD. What that means is that as long as you make the change in a sail date more than 75 days prior to sailing it won't affect you.

The new policy is for reservations where a guest is having to change their sailing and are within penalty dates. In those cases the reservation will have to be actually canceled, and then a new date rebooked (as a separate reservation.)

No word on the strike as of yet. We are waiting, and waiting, and waiting. The update today was that they are still negotiating, and trying to come to an agreement. Sigh...I wish they would just make a decision one way or another. This is killing me!

Hmmm....weight...I refuse to discuss it. I don't need a scale, I have a six year old that announced to me today that "Mom, you are fat. You need to lose some weight. For dinner tonight you need to only eat vegetables." This came from out of the blue today when I was getting dressed. SERIOUSLY! Never heard him say anything like that before--guess that's my wake up call to get my fat a** back to the gym.

Man, can I just say I don't cook greasy meals very often but WHEW was meal last night worth the wait for the gas to come home! If any of you like Smoked Sausage and / or cooked cabbage can I HOOK YOU UP with a plan! Yummm!

Gert - although I have not attempted to put DS's swimming scrapbook together yet, I just used those "Zots" to put a couple of mats on a couple of my pics for my fair entries! Hello! Those things are awesome! Worked like a charm! I am not putting mats on everything just yet...only on a couple that I thought looked better with them. The photography exhibit opens at Noon today for entries so I am going right at Noon. I have been to Michael's almost everyday this week. We purchased (5) 8x10's from Shutters that I scanned into my pics folder & uploaded to Shutterfly. I had a pre-paid print plan that had (20) 5x7's that were expiring on 8/2 so I ordered a bunch of 5x7's for our parents. I had a couple of coupons for Michaels that expired this week (40% off one item and one for 25% off the entire order) that they let me combine So I bought some nice frames that hold a BUNCH of pics - am putting together collages for our parents for Christmas presents! Yes, I just mentioned the 'C' word!! I hope they turn out OK. I have misplaced one of the 8x10's tho...can't imagine how it got separated from the others.

SE - still got my fingers crossed for ya'll. Kids do say the darndest things tho...DS told me I need to take some of his ADHD meds a few weeks ago!

Gert - that XC90 is really cute - I considered that one B4 I bought my Pilot - but it was easily $10K more....so that pretty much sealed my decision!

Oh Zots are the bomb! I need to get moving on the pics thing. I need to print the release as I want to use one picture we have of Linden for a card. And costco photo sent me an offer for free prints so gotta take advantage of that. And speaking of pictures from shutters....i bought a copy of the peeps when we got on the ship. I was showing it to my mom and realized Tigger and Pooh aren't in the copy I ordered! SE and family weren't there yet right? But T & P were...is there a copy with them in it? I did not see one at Shutters but I did wait until the last day to buy prints so maybe it was already gone?? Anyone??

Yes - expensive a bit. I might get to keep it all weekend though! They had to order a tire as one had a slow leak and we told them just to replace it (apparently can't be fixed due to location of nail and who ran over a nail? That is stoopid. I gotta quit letting the kids drive.) Anyhow...tire won't be there until this afternoon. We had plans to go to the zoo in SF and on the way pick up the car. But its not done. And on a Friday I may not make it out of SF back to car before they close. Yep its a problem. Gotta call my personal service manager and whine.

Well, sort of a strike update. Now they are giving the company only until Midnight on Sunday to either come to an agreement, or the workers are walking.
I guess we will know something on Monday.

Did anyone watch America's Got Talent last night? I've never watched and only tuned in because there was a rumor that Michael Harrison (who used to be on the Magic) might make the semi-finals (he didn't). There was the CUTEST little girl I have ever seen! I mean make you cry cute. She just turned four. Sharon Osbourn asked her is she was from NY and she said, "I'm from Ameaica." Too cute.
