Guess it's back to trying to lose them ...and the extra lbs. I already had

Why are they so easy to put on and darn near impossible to make "go 'way...leave 'lone!"

I think they just got Manny for the stretch run. He'll be gone somewhere else after this season. Joe Torre isn't gonna put up with his B.S. in the clubhouse.
But we'll take his bat for the rest of the season!

I hear ya, RJ! I'm waiting til tomorrow to get an accurate weight gain since Saturday is my usual weigh in day, but I'm thinking I put on about 5, which miraculously is less than I thought.

I don't believe the gains have anything to do with this...

School starts in 11 days!! What happened to summer!?

Leetle Pirate got her 1 yr shots today - not a happy camper. We are going to go take a walk in her new car. Stymie's board meeting is today. The consultant the company hired to assess their place in the market is giving his update - should be interesting. Guess this weekend we will sit down and have the "what are we doing with our lives" pow-wow.

Truck is alive!! Whew. Needs new brakes though. Volvo gets serviced next week. Then truck can go into the shop.

Currently obessessing over hybrid timber frame house plans. A girl has to keep her brain busy somehow. It's either that or start investigating that next cruise.

Glad the truck is alive, but hope the brakes aren't too much of an expense. Ouch!

Hey ya'll....i am still editing! Still trying to decide what to order enlargements of to put in the fair. Clock is ticking FAST now!

Thinking will probably enter this one in the "Other Wildlife - fish, insects, reptiles" category:

Then trying to decide between these 2 starfish pics for the same cat.:

We took about 270 on that underwater camera...these are probably the most dramatic, although I got a lot of nice pics from that reef trip.


Then there's this one I was thinking about for the "zoo animal" cat:

Then there's the "Seascape with boat or building" category (these were from our Blue Lagoon dolphin trip):

Then there's the plain old seascape category (can anybody tell me where this is? ):

And then of course gotta enter a sunset:

Then of course I am still thinking about a couple from the Cherry Blossom Festival for the "plant life" or monument categories....decisions....decisions!!

On the other hand - talked to a builder I really liked today. Blue Ox Timber Frames. Nice Guy. Quite helpful. Design fees much more reasonable than the other people I have talked to. And the bonus is, since they are in MI and we are in CA and they have winter and we sorta don't if we decide to build in winter we gettum beeg discount for helping to keep their crews working in the "off time" Gert does like a beeg discount!!

RJ & Beano - cabin for Labor Day?? Fishing Derby. Brook trout and beer. Get back to me. yes Beano I will keep asking until I finally find a time when you are not on call and can journey to the cabin

I love all the pictures (even though I am in some-I hate having my picture taken)
You all aren't alone, I gained 5 lbs. but my ankles were really swollen when I got home and that is gone now and so in almost 3 lbs. so me thinks a lot of mine was water retention. I have been to the gym 3 times since I got home from Betsy's Mon. morning. I am sure that has helped.
Pixie dust to SueEllen and Steve. I know the feeling. My husband lost his job at Westinghouse when they closed the plant here in Ft. Lauderdale when Betsy was 3 years old. I didn't work and his income was all we had. He was out of work for 6 months. Not fun!

Home from farmers market. We loaded up on grapes, broccoli, white nectarines, peaches, strawberries, sweet corn and these yummy mocha almonds.

Leetle pirate is napping so I am outta here to buy flowers to replace those in pots on front porch as something keeps eating them. They look like little white flies but don't fly.?? And a gardenia bush. Mine has been sickly for awhile. Iron is not helping so I figure its just time to replace it. Gotta start somewhere. 'Cause my daylillies need help too.

I had asked them to print one because all the other copies were gone..i guess I forgot to pick it up and they sent it!

I was in Target this morning when the teacher from Kate's school tapped me on the shoulder..she is a Dis'r and was leaving this afternoon for the radisson and sailing tomorow on the 4 day..she is in our room 6134! I left her one of the "disfunctional" magnets inside the safe..i hope no one found it!! Sh has been calling it the "Royal Palm Beach Vow Renewal Suite" because they had that room when they did their VR!!

I have not been in the sun since we got home! (Well, it was boiling hot here this week and I didn't have a beach or pool to jump into...) But my tan is fading already!! I might have to find time to sit on the patio for a little while with my handy dandy misting fan tomorrow....

The 40th birthday is never ending. We survived! We made it until about 4:00 before everyone had to run in the house. I had DH start cooking earlier than I would have liked, but wanted to get that done before it poured. So, all in all, it worked out OK, but no one went in the pool (after we got it cleaned) and I could have done without the rain. Of course about 7:00 once it was just the neighbors left the sun started peeking out from the clouds, LOL! Typical me!

Now life can start getting back to normal...the trips done, the party is done, so once I clean up, I get my boring life back.
