Yesterday some parts of Miami-Dade had over 2 inches of rain and we didn't get a drop here until almost dark and then it was just a shower. There are lots of rain shows at this time of year-our rainy season but they are hop,skip and jump kind. I followed a convertible up Federal Highway this morning and I began to see drops of rain on the windshield. Suddenly it was pouring and he quickly pulled over, hopefully to raise the top.

Two inches of rain over how long? I think San Diego gets 2" over ... oh, 9 or 10 months (wait, that's not funny)

West coast is checking in. Sunday weather is looking perfect.

Off to Home Depot to pick out a rose tree for the front porch. DD and I picked one out yesterday but...we had the Volvo. Duh. Not gonna fit in there. So have to go back today and see if the one we like is still there. Then to get Stymie some dockers and shorts at JcPenney (beeg sale you know) for an upcoming vacation. Stymie let me know today to begin the 6 week countdown. (tell me he isn't excited too!)

Other than the Atlantis Peeps - what is everyone else planning in Nassau? We haven't been there before, so anybody have any recommendations of things to do or see? Was thinking of maybe taking the girls on the horse carriage tour. See..then I don't have to carry, push or otherwise tote leetle pirate around Anyone?? Plans??

Time to get the spreadsheet started. Another thread reminded me to call Radisson and get my shuttle ressie! Riding with some party of 8 - the evil Knevils or something like that. Sure hope they are nice!

1. For Nassau, we are thinking of going to Atlantis on our own to check things out. We are not planning on using the beach, pool, or water park. The plan is to walk around the hotel and maybe saunter through the casino. Unfortunately I do not have any review info on the carraige tour. You would have thought in my many trips to Nassau that I would have done it by now.

2. Thanks to Gertie for the info on shuttle reservations. Called and talked to Beano to see what was up. Didn't know if shuttle ressies had been made with hotel ressies etc. Turns out that shuttle ressies can be made ahead of time and are not linked to your hotel ressie. So, I found out that there were some folks in this group on a bus ressie already and just joined those freakos.

No, Cheri, two days in a row she promised to call me back and never did. We were talking and she said she had to go but would call back. Never did. Now I don't know about the button down
The two inches was in one day. This isn't unusual in So. Fl. during rainy season, unfortunately, it is not general, just scattered.

Nice day today...worked outside quite a bit. DH borrowed a power washer from the neighbor & cleaned the front walk / stoop & the mailbox post (now I can sand it & re-stain it this week). Pruned some low branches out of 2 trees & chopped 'em up for the recycling. My tulips were finally dead enough to cut down in my one bed out back. Now I can buy some new flowers to put in there tomorrow. Worked on weeding the patio some too. That's the worst thing about a paver patio...weeds in the cracks...and ants! We keep getting this Vetch stuff that spreads & spreads & I haven't found a weed killer that will stop it. It always comes back.

Must go thru the camping supplies this week. We don't go 'till the 20th but I AM a planner ya know.

Need to work on FE stuff too.....I thought I was ahead of the game...but now that SE says 45 days I feel behind!

Just checking in to let you all know Im alive. Gosh things have been crazy lately. When theres no time to talk to the Peeps, you know things are bad.

Before the kids left this morning I told them 7 weeks from right now we will be getting to CC!!! Can you believe how close we are??? Considering we started planning this so far in advance, we are just about there.

Nassau we are staying on the ship, at least the first time, and probably the second time too. First time we have the Rasul booked for that day.

Well, today is the last day of regular school for our kids. Tomorrow starts graduation practice for our DS and finals for our DD. Grarduation is Thursday evening with lots to do in between actually this whole month before our cruises is very busy with stuff...as will the month after the cruises!

So I just saw a thread about the jet ski eco tours...they have added the single rider option back!! So I checked the available times and called DH - he agreed we should add it onto one of our days! So we added it onto our Wed. day. We decided to just keep moving with our plans so we could have the afternoon "off". So we're doing the Stingray thing from 10 - 11:00 AND then the jet ski's from 12:00-1:00. Then we can eat lunch and hang out somewhere all afternoon. (Gertrude - minimum age is 8 in case you're still lookin' for something to do on CC with your older DD!!) I thought about taking time inbetween excursions & could've booked this LATER, like at 2:45 but I was booking DS with DH and was afraid he might have had too many beers by then to be driving it with DS on there with him! This way he can drink all he wants after we're done and I won't have to worry about him "drinking & driving"!

Annie - thanks for thinking of us! DD and Stymie are parasailing and that is all we have planned for CC. We just plan on maxin' and relaxin' as much as leetle pirate will let us.

Started going through clothes and planning outfits yesterday with DD. She just needs a pair of dress shoes!

Stymie is another story. Gonna have to do some major work on his wardrobe.

I think I am good except for dinner. So mulling that over.

And leetle pirate...well...bought her enough cute outfits at Xmas when Disney outlet was in town. Yep she will be 12 months when we sail. Yep she is wearing 12 months sizes right now.....So not too sure what will fit her in 6 more weeks. She already needs a bigger bathing suit.

Sounds like our shuttle ride to the port will be fun!! So looking forward to seeing you all!!

Went out running errands today. Monday has become my "errand day". Liking not having to do it ALL over the weekend. Getting spoiled. Anyway, stopped into Michael's for something ('cuz they NEVER have enough of the thing you're there to buy on the FIRST trip). ANYWAY, met a fellow Dis'er whilst I was complaining to myself about this & that. Kinda funny. Me talkin' to myself....her overhearing my muttering....small world....she did an Eastern & did the over the door shoe holder tip...DisBoard addiction...blah, blah. She gave me an idea of something I could do / use instead since Michaels was short of something else I was looking for. It's funny...Dis'ers look just like normal every day people!

Went to Home Depot today too...got some more flowers for out back and sand paper for the mailbox post. Gertrude...did you find your rose tree thing when you went back?

I am sure Leetle Pirate and Big Sis DD will be ADORABLE! I got DH one new bathing suit & several pair of cargo style shorts & a couple shirts for Father's Day (aka vacation)...been picking up bargains here & there for awhile now (TJ Maxx, Kohl's etc.)... I have been looking for him a new pr. of slacks but have not found any in his size. I wanted to find like a linen/rayon/poly casual sort of blend for something casual/tropical looking. No luck at Kohl's or TJ Maxx. Guess I will be forced to go to the mall! He's got lots of Docker's but I wanted something diff. for him for the cruise for a couple of nights. It seems like I cross one thing off my list & add 2 more to the bottom of the list.
