Thanks TZM! The woman that called me today was very personable and easy going on the phone so I am hoping that's a good sign!:confused3 In case you couldn't tell by the way I write my posts...I CAN INDEED ramble! :scared: I am someone who often writes just like I talk.:sad2: I will try not to stumble TOO much! I used to have a document with list of interview questions - which I of course lost last week when my old computer crashed!:headache: I can't imagine too many places being worse to get on with than my last job. The HR person there called to schedule a phone interview. OK...that was 1 1/2 hours! Just on the phone! Then about 3 weeks later I finally got to go in to interview with my boss. Got thru that and she says to be considered any further I have to take this test. OMG. I don't test well AT ALL. That scares me! It was over 300 questions and I guess it was sort of a combination IQ / Personality test. I don't know. But it was HARD. There were questions like "If John lives on W. Elm and his friend Frank lives on South Oak St. which is 3 blocks East of Maple......." This test was a bear. I don't ever want to take another test like that again, ever! Anyway, I will "study up" some more in the morning about MedImmune.

My instincts about scheduling the interview for tomorrow were right on. My Grandmother passed away this evening so later in the week would've been a problem! The services will be in WV probably on Thursday morning. Right now I guess the plan will be for us to drive over there in time for the service(leave here by 7:00) and then return home in the afternoon. DS's swimming starts back up again tomorrow eve. on Tues & Thurs. and they have the MSA (standardized testing) on Thurs & Fri this week so I should try to get him back for that on Friday at least. I emailed the teacher awhile ago 'cuz they were making a big deal about having 100% attendance (they get a pizza party or something). I told him I don't want him to be the source of blame for not having 100% but this certainly wasn't planned. They'd better not count his absence on Thurs. against the class!!!! Worst thing is we still have DH's Grandmother about to pass too. Rough month...

I am sorry for your loss.

Thanks for all the hugs & pixie dust guys! Grandma would've been 91 on May 1 and the past couple of years she was in a pretty pathetic state so I am sure she is in a better place.

Trying to decide what to wear today. My "professional" wardrobe is limited as my last job was casual dress M-Th and jeans on Fri. My job before that was jeans pretty much any day...so I really haven't bought "nice" clothes in about 5 years. I have a couple of pant suits that I bought 2 years ago when I was job hunting...I am going to save my black one for Thursday and wear my brown one today - just need to decide which top/shirt. It is supposed to be in the upper 60's for a change but it's raining. I tried it on last night with like 4 shirts. I can't decide. Imagine that!:rotfl: I am hoping that I can find another job with a casual dress policy so I don't have to go out & buy a bunch of new clothes! I mean as much as I like buying new clothes I'd rather dress casually and save the money for the cruise tab!:rolleyes1

:wizard: Good luck on the interviews Annie!!!!

anyone planning on playing any April Fool's jokes today?:rolleyes1

Morning!

 Annie!
I lost my paternal grandfather and grandmother when I was two and six ..my maternal grandmother and grandfather when I was 16 and 23 so wow..what a blessing to have your kids know their great grandparents!

Kate remembers my dad..but only him being sick..I don't think she has many memories of him before that...which makes me sad!

Annie...you can never be OVER DRESSED for an interview I think...I always dress up and check out the other workers to get a clue about what the dress code is...but I think it would be acceptable to ask in the interview what the dress policy is

GOOD LUCK!:wizard:

GOOD LUCK ANNIE!

I knew both great-grandmas and a great-grandpa. My kids knew one great-great-grandma. (My family tended to start early and the women are too stubborn to die I guess:rotfl: ) My grandparents live about 15 minutes from me so my kids see their great-grandparents all the time. We feel very blessed that they are both in good health.

Don't worry about DS's son's school. School's take the standardized testing way too seriously IMO. It won't keep any kid from getting into college or getting a good job if they miss a test. One kid missing a test won't change their overall scores either. They just use scare tactics. You do what is best for your family and don't worry about anything else. (except getting ready for the cruise - but that's a fun stress)

Good Luck Annie!!

It's only 8 am and I want to give my oldest child away. It's going to be a long day.

Ryan met my paternal grandmother but does not remember her. Neils paternal grandfather was with us until a few years ago so she does remember him. I wish my maternal grandmother could have been here to meet my girls. I miss her.

Going to work today! BLECH. Have to go be mean to "File Resolution Adjuster". Guess I should not get coffee before I go.:rotfl: Then get something for Ryan to eat in car. Drive back to school, pick up Ryan, make her eat, take her to ortho (that is why she needs to eat - teeth will be sore)and then take her back to school.

Fun fun fun.

Was gonna pay off my cruise last night because Discover card is offering 5% cash back on all travel purchased with the card. Yep. I forgot.:headache:

DUH.

Oh Annie, I am sorry for your loss.

Best of luck on the job interview. :wizard:

:scared1:
Paid off 3 day cruise!!
*gulp*

When is that economic stimulus check coming???

Well..the 6 month interest free with Disney makes it more bearable..plus the reward points

That is my VR cruise (which has the cost of the VR in it) so now they can start really getting busy with me Schtuff!

I have vague memories of my Maternal Great Grandmother - I remember going over there to visit as a kid and playing around an old well with my cousins...and there was a pot belly stove in the middle of the kitchen! I have very good memories of my Paternal Great Grandmother - she died when I was in college. Both Great Grandfathers died before I can remember them. Jared is lucky that he will hopefully remember his Great Grandmothers - but he never really got to spend a lot of time with them tho. OK, enough sad stuff....

I know I have to keep looking for a job 'cuz this is far from a done deal but am not in the mood to concentrate:rolleyes1 I mean, what are the odds I could get thru my first interview and actually GET a job from it? Being all rusty & all...:confused3 Almost lunchtime...I got a salad for lunch (left my beloved onions out) so I don't go breathing funky onion breath on my interviewer. Guess I should probably skip my low-cal Italian dressing too & go with something I know won't have garlic in it.:headache: More calories but necessary for today I guess.

Stimulous checks - yes! They come sometime in May! I'm guessing in about another 6-8 weeks.

Paying off cruise...hummm. Putting that one off awhile yet - although it's really coming out of our tax refund we will put it on the only credit card we use...Capital One Miles...I keep accruing the miles on it 'cuz I am hoping for a Med cruise the next time and I know the airfare will be a killer...am hoping to have enough miles by then to maybe cover 2 out of 3 tickets! At the rate that I spend I think I can do it!! Just glad our 4 n one is covered by points so I can book whatever we do early.:goodvibes

Annie, sorry to hear about your grandmother. :(

Steve's uncle passed away last night, so now to try to get things organized to see if we can make it down to TN for the funeral. :(

Annie, good luck with your job interview. I think a pant suit will be just fine. I hope it goes well for you.

No April Fool's Day jokes here. Too much to take care of (and I still feel yucky--maybe it wasn't so much a hangover, or maybe it was a combination of things  )

Sue Ellen

I so I don't go breathing funky onion breath on my interviewer. Guess I should probably skip my low-cal Italian dressing too & go with something I know won't have garlic in it.:headache: More calories but necessary for today I guess.

I am hoping for a Med cruise

ooh, I wanna go! We had reservations for the Med (thanks Sue Ellen!) but decided that the kids wouldn't have enjoyed it. I didn't like the idea of d r a g g i n g the kids around Rome ("can we GO NOW?"). By the time the next Med comes, they'll be old enough or they can stay home :)

Funky onion breath. Now that's funny :lmao:

Sue Ellen- sorry to here about Steve's uncle.

My gosh people! Jokes! We need jokes! Or goofy picturesor something!

Now for the $64 question - what show had the Magic Mirror?

that isn't me!!

I originally posted a larger format of the picture..but cheri's mouth looked funny and I didn't want her all mad at me..so me posted the smaller one!
