Hey ya'll...
Anne - glad to hear you have a good dentist! We like ours too - that's why we didn't sign up for the dental thru DH's work when we switched to his insurance - our dentist isn't a part of this HMO - so I was like why bother?
May - DS just finished up Cub Scouts (he was a Webelo II this year and we had his Arrow of Light ceremony March 1). We are not going on to Boy Scouts - too much camping for us!
Anyway, just got home from downtown a little while ago! I was mistaken about the PARADE being today...but it WAS the opening ceremony of the Cherry Blossom Festival - and there maybe wasn't a MILLION people down there but it was definitely like trying to navigate thru WDW on a packed day in some spots. There were several hundred thousand...
We left home about 8:15, went to the Metro and got down there by 9:30 and started walking toward the Tidal Basin...went thru the WWII Memorial... The Kite Festival was just starting and the Epilepsy Walk was going on and the National Marathon...lots of camera crews that DS wanted to try to get in front of so he could be on TV.

DH said trying to walk with me & my camera was like walking a dog (had to stop & pee on every tree)!!

We didn't get around to the Jefferson Memorial until almost Noon! (That's like 1/2 way!)

Then when we got back over to the Washington Monument side we stopped & got some
TERRIBLE food from a stand and had a little picnic on the grass. THEN we walked back past the kite stuff and down to the Museum of Natural History and went in there. PACKED!!! OMG!!! There were like 10,000 people in there and it was so hot in there! Well, especially to us 'cuz we'd gone down early when it was still only 30 degrees out so we wore long johns! They have a live butterfly exhibit now that I wanted to see but the next ticket entry time was for 5:00 so we didn't stay - but it looked SO cool. You walk thru them & they're flying all around you. OH WELL...
It was a nice family kind of day - DS really enjoyed the museum more this time than the last time we took him - probably an age thing - he was all into the rocks & volcanos & stuff. But we're pooped. Hard to explain how far some of this stuff is from point A to point B...just to guess tho, I'd say what we did today is probably about like walking AROUND ALL of Epcot (not just the World Showcase) like 3 times. I took a TON of pics...but my most favorite photo editing software is GONE now with the old computer so I HAVE to learn how to edit in Photoshop!

I will post pics as soon as I get a chance to work on them! It's hard to even guess how many pics I took of the Washington Monument! I will not want ALL of them!
