DIS-Functional Wonder Peeps 7/20 & 7/24, 2008 PART II

Worked outside all afternoon - it was SO nice to go outside w/o a coat for a change!! WOW! Anyway, spent about 4 hours on a ladder pruning 2 of my crapes...do any of you FL peeps have any of those? Do you prune them? This pruning thing sucks man. I really gave 'em buzz cuts this time around 'cuz I didn't do them last year. I don't think I will prune so much off of my others. But now my back hurts from the stretching etc. My ladder was really wobbly out there and it was REALLY windy today & I kept grabbing ahold of the trees 'cuz I kept thinking "OH NO! I don't have insurance! I can't fall off a ladder NOW!"

Then I came in & read thru some of the insurance crap DH brought home today... Choice between an HMO & a PPO. Price for the HMO is only $30 more than what we were paying for my old PPO. But now his PPO is MUCH higher... Should I just look at it as hopefully only temporary and hope that if I can find a job with a cheaper PPO we can switch? Will they let him drop it if we can find a better deal somewhere else? He said the HR person says HMO's aren't like they were in the '80's but I don't know...I'd still prefer a PPO....

Ok, so I'm going over my packet and playing on line making my wish list. I think I have a basic plan of what we are doing. How does this sound?

Sun-no plans
Mon-Parasail at CC
Tues- (anniversary)-Spa treatment/mud thing
Wed- Palo Brunch, Stingray thing, Palo dinner
Thur(Peters birthday)-no real plans...do laundry during our downtime, LOL!
Fri-Not sure if we will do an excursion or just stay on board again
Sat-Try to at least make a visit to the adult beach.

Opinions? Anyone see any flaws? Anyone else have any days planned yet? I think we had talked about his a long time ago, but if anyone is doing parasailing and wants to do it on Monday, let me know and we could try to get the same time.

I've been bad and haven't been to the peeps site in a while. I just went on and saw we have new stars since I looked last!!! Very nice, Sean, Linda, Tyler and Sean Patrick. I probably know this, but how old will those guys be July?

Do we have a list of how many families (and how many kids) we have total?

We have not finalized anything yet except on Tues. while you are rolling around in the mud we're doing the Dolphin Swim. Of course I booked & paid for that last week not knowing I'd be out of work 3 days later! But whatever, it's done now.

We are planning to do Palo on Monday night.

Palo Brunch - Still waiting for someone to say what time!

On CC we will probably do Parasailing one day. Hadn't decided about the Stingray thing for sure yet since we're doing the Dolphin Swim - but it's a good bet for one day. I haven't thought about doing what on what day yet. I tend to like to make all of our plans for early in the day so we can have the afternoons "off" in a lounge chair somewhere. So whatever we do we will probably plan for early times..

Now that I'm not working I don't know what we'll do about the Atlantis thing. We HAD BEEN sorta planning to do that on Friday tho (either thru DCL or by booking the Comfort Suites). I don't know how that will play out now since it's so expensive. The other thing in Nassau that we were interested in was a snorkeling excursion I found thru Shoretrips.com for a dedicated 3 stop snorkel trip from 12 - 5:00 - it would certainly be a lot less money than Atlantis - so we will have to give it some more thought. Has anybody done the snorkeling excursion on CC before? Wondered how that one is? We might do that one instead - but it's very short and costs about $14 more. I don't know. We have our own snorkel equip. (I have an RX mask) so we don't need to rent that stuff but we probably will rent the floats & all...but if I sit down & add up ALL of this stuff!

Have you guys dropped the Atlantis idea altogether for the Friday? We haven't mentioned it to DS yet 'cuz he would flip if he knew about it!

I did not go to Wendy's for lunch today..but it is about a mile from my new office
He shooter did kill a Palm Bch Cty firefighter who was a father of 5 and went back inside to get his son's meal toy..he was stationed at our firehouse here in Royal Palm

Have to go back to the first page of the first thread. The list is there (and hopefully it is correct - no promises though) So, do you have any guesses as to "who da peeps are"? No one has said anything yet.

The next stars are almost ready. Have to finish this PTA project first. If anyone has any ideas for Peeps site, PM me. Creative juices running low.

Uncle Beano promised to take Cassie parasailing on CC over a year ago. She's only been talking about it since, so I'm thinkin', yeah, he's locked into that one. RJ and I thought we'd do all that kinda stuff on the first day. (Didn't we?) Haven't evene talked about the adult beach yet.

Annie - I have a feeling that Palo brunch isn't going to be early. I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't like to hit that place until at least 10-10:30. We'll have to see what Sue Ellen can do.
