Betsy, your transformation is amazing! And you have made it seem so easy too! So you sent 15 to Sue Ellen, 10 (maybe 15) to me, some to RJ...you really need to stop this.

It is funny, I dont seem to want to accept what Ive gained. The other day Cam stepped on the scale and announced he weighs 108 lbs. My first thought was "Wow, thats what I we......weig.........weighed....3 years ago". Those days are long gone.

Katie..I remember for several years I would try and try and I only went up...I remember reading about people who lost 50 or 75 pounds and thinking "I wonder how they did it"

It was very slow..if you think about it..I started in April 2007..so it averages to alittle more than 1lb a week. I told Rick last night that if I was working out 3 times a week like I was before my surgery and not eating gumbo and steak like I do, I would probably lose more..but I think it is better to not restrict WHAT I eat but rather HOW MUCH I eat

OMG!! No way! You're kidding, right?! My DS is only 57.5 Lbs! Cam is 2 of him! I went over to Walmart yesterday & stocked up on Boost for him. It's like $3 cheaper for a 6 pack over there. He likes the vanilla flavor the best but they didn't have it in the "Plus" so I just got the regular formula. The Plus has 360 calories vs only 240. I get excited over sales on Boost - especially if I can find the Boost Plus! It's crazy expensive tho. My grocery store charges almost $10 / 6 pack. Target hardly carries it at all anymore. It's getting hard to find. But I just keep trying to pump calories into DS however I can!


Betsy - the cat snorkel gets 4 stars out of how many? 5? 10? Where did you read this? Passporter? I never have high expectations for any snorkeling outside of Hawaii.... I've read where some think it's good on St. John too - but I was very unimpressed with it there too. I still want to go - I enjoy it and I'm schlepping our stuff down so we can use it off shore too so we may as well go....

Is Brooke going home tonight from AI? After her little do-over I would hope so. David Archuletta messed up his song but the judges didn't mention it. I think that they really want Brooke out.

I think it will either be Brooke or Jason leaving tonight. We like both of them but they're not gonna make it to the end. I would like to see David Cook take it all but I have a feeling the teeny boppers out there will give it to Archuletta. I don't think he's ready and he's boring to watch. He is definitely TIVO fast fwd material in our house! It's like we can see his first few notes and his last few and not feel we missed anything inbetween. I think Cook is the only one of the whole season who really understands how to entertain and put on a show. I don't think any of these others could actually put on a concert with song after song for an hour or so without being boring. Cook is the only one that I would buy a CD from... Anybody else have any thoughts on AI?

Regarding AI, I think Brooke was the weakest of the singers and should be the one to go.

David Cook gave me chills with his song last night. He was absolutely amazing, and Carly was great too.

Honestly though I think it would be better for David Cook to NOT win, because I think he will have more options if he doesn't.
I don't care for Archuletta personally. He's got a nice voice, but there is something about him that bugs me. I like Jason, Carly and David Cook. Syesha is good, but she'll be gone before much longer (too many times in the bottom.) I really think Brooke is going home tonight (and not so much for her re-do, but more because she's the least memorable/personable of the group.)

I agree about Archuletta. There's something about him that rubs me wrong. He can SING but everything he does sounds the same (as Simon would say, forgettable). DH really likes Jason but he seems so....ummm....not very bright doesn't he? And his hair makes me want to itch my head. DH said last nite that they need to introduce him to Kelly Pickler!

We missed most of AI last night. Too busy yapping about the election stuff. The "kid" (Archuletta)... he is what comes to mind when I think of Goofy (no offense to our character). <insert Goofy "garsh" here> Maybe it's the 10 year-old grin. Maybe it's the lack of personality. I guess his dad is a real piece of work too. Used to try and intimidate the other competitors when David was on Star Search. They had to keep him locked in a room or sumthin'

My vote: Brookie go bye-bye. Then Archula-bye-bye, but he'll probably hang in there until the top 3. Since they kicked Aussie boy, David Cook is the best. But, as SE said, it would be better for him if he didn't take it. Daughtry has done pretty well.
