Hey ya'll.
Betsy & Anne...very sorry to hear about your "Aunt". That sucks for you guys.
Pond has been cleaned up a bit and the toes & nails have fresh coats of "Cajun Shrimp" on them. I'm such a klutz tho I cannot DO anything or I will screw 'em up!
So I finally started trying to put stuff into the bags this afternoon.
Problem with our duffles is that they don't have the tie down straps inside. So they need to be FULL so stuff doesn't shift too bad. Well...I am going to have to do some MAJOR re-arranging. The bag I used for my stuff is stuffed full and I got everything in except for my bathing suits!
It has about 8 Lbs to spare I think. But there's no room left. Ummm...OK. So am still workin' on what to do with the bathing suits...aside from busting the zipper. I was thinking about wearing my tennis shoes instead of flip flops to conserve space...but the flip flops are easier to go thru security at the airport. First time I weighed DH's bag it was under by about 7 Lbs but it wasn't FULL yet. Filled it to keep stuff from shifting now it's OVER by about 4 Lbs.
DS's bag is about to explode. It's also over by about 5 Lbs. But I put DH's shoes in it. I am thinking that I am going to have to somehow put all these darned shoes into their own carry-on. I have not done the carry-ons yet.
I am sure that will be another headache. I still have SUCH a list of things....and now I feel totally immobile with the whole nail thing. It's 'cuz I RARELY ever get my finger nails done too. I don't know how to function.
OK, anybody know what the official rule is on flying with scissors?? I have a pair that I usually pack but they're a little dull. Then I have another pair that I'd sorta like to bring but they're very sharp. Kind of afraid of packing them. Wasn't sure what the "rule" is.
