Hair dryers... Do I need to bring one, or do these hotels have them in the rooms? It's a necessity, unless I shave my head. :rotfl2:

I'm in the same boat! I'm glad to hear from Kevin that this should be easy to procure in Italy, but I will probably end up buying the cheap dual voltage one I found at Wal Mart or Target, I can't remember which. It was only about $10.

Even though the voltage might be dual, you have to sure it is dual frequency. 60hz motors do not like 50hz sine waves unless they are designed to do so.

Do we get our Italy themed ABD Magic Bands in our Box? I am sure we will use those to get on the bus :rolleyes1

Christy -

I just got Saving Italy and am planning to read it after Inferno! It looks really interesting. Are you still thinking about doing something vineyard-related in Florence or are you planning to go into Pisa?

I haven't quite figured it out yet. I've got some major issues with my boss' trip and that was going to be by gauge for what I try to do or not do. Right now I'm becoming an expert in Sicily because his travel agent has royally dropped the ball. :sad2: Fortunately, I've already done a lot of research on Rome and Florence.

Meanwhile, Mom has been finding things on Facebook and has discovered this.... http://federicobadiashoes.com/ Federico makes shoes, purses, belts, and accessories in his shop in Orvietto. I think I'm going to have to make a stop there!

Where do you folks find the Samantha Brown segments? On line? Apple TV?

Jeff,

The average September temps:

Rome Daytime average High 82 Evening Low 58
Florence 80 58
Venice 74 58

Not much rain but a higher chance for it in Venice. Average 10 hours of daily sunshine in Rome and 7 in Venice. In other words - gorgeous!!!

Laurie

Okay....I have some news.

It's my understanding that our guides will be Dusty and Marco B.

Please understand that this is subject to change.

John and I have traveled with Marco B. before and he's terrific.

I understand that they have announced this on their Facebook pages.
