Hello, ladies! Happy Hump Day!
This is nothing. It's like a ghost town in here. This group used to be much more chatty. And, with the WDW girls only group that I started, we used to put 6-8 PAGES a day on that thread. Of course, that was before Facebook was so popular. lol

Hello!

I am posting to request prayers/good thoughts...whatever you've got.

I took my puppy dog Maxine to the vet yesterday because I found a growth in her mouth along her jaw line. I really thought it was an infection from her bad teeth but I was wrong. From the preliminary evaluation it is an aggressively growing tumor which is most likely malignant. She had surgery yesterday to have the biopsy so we can figure out exactly what it is and what the treatment options are. The results will hopefully be back Friday.

She is a dog and I understand that but she is incredibly important to me and I will be devastated to lose her.

Dawn, my heartfelt prayer are with you and your precious Maxine. Maybe a dog is a dog to some people but our furbabies are members of our family and I completely understand your care and distress.

No matter what the results, I hope she will be with you for many more years. Sending bigs hugs. Please keep us posted?

Dawn - big to you and Maxine. I went through 2 bouts of tumor removals with my last golden - both malignant but had not spread.

I will keep you both in my prayers!

Thank you Marie! She is like my baby - I have had her since she was 7 weeks old and she is now 13 1/2.

Used to. When I lived in Michigan, from 2004-2007, I started a girls only WDW trip. We went in 2006, with about 35 ladies. It sort of disbanded and only a very small number of those girls still get together yearly but it's turned into a private event.
When I moved to Nevada in 2007 that's when I got the idea to do the same thing but for Disneyland and hence, the DIS Divas were born.

Wow! This looks like so much fun! I've actually been following disboards for years, but just recently started up my profile and posting.

Going with my DH and 2 kids (DD 5, DS almost 2) in 6 MORE DAYS to visit the mouse in DL- so excited!!

Would be VERY interested in hearing more about the next Divas Trip in 2014. I've never really taken a solo vacay away from hubby or the kids, and heck I'm 30, so maybe it's about time?

I have been reading this thread and debating on taking my first solo trip as well! We leave in 10 days to DL for our last trip since our AP passes expire on May 15
I'm not an outgoing person so its hard for me to meet up with a bunch of strangers for a vacation!
DH will prob think I am nuts!

I see the plan is to stay at DGC which is amazing!!!!! Is there an approx price per person for the 5 night stay?
Do DIVAs usually fly in on the Tuesday and then fly home on Sunday?

I belonged to a wonderful group DISers who were going to WDW in March 2013 and it was a great way to get to know each other and get up to date info.

Will add to my prayers. Fur babies are extremely important to us. Ours are not considered just dogs they are part of our family. Big hugs.

I have been very inactive on the thread so far and this usually leads to me asking 'Who's that' on the trip.

I've been busy with school work, working out and just plain old work. I started a new job in March and while the job itself isn't something I absolutely love, the pay is nice for now and I have made some good friends with my coworkers. I'm contracted to work 25 hours a week but they offer additional time on Saturdays (which I almost always volunteer for). Last week they gave us an additional 11 hours for training and production so my paycheck will be pretty sweet tomorrow. I got asked to come in early tomorrow so I'm happy about that as well. I would love a full time contract because I could pay my bills of right quick and then move out on my own again.

My sister and BIL moved last Thursday to Kentucky and it feels weird not seeing them. My BIL will be deployed but we are not sure of how soon.

Other than that life is pretty ho hum. I'm considering not renewing my pass in August this year. I need a break. On the other hand, I am missing WDW something fierce.
