DIS Divas Trip! (old thread, see first post for link to new one)

Howdy all! Nothing much going on here. Still living vicariously thru my friends at DL this week. I keep trying to get them to go see Billy Hill, but they're just never in that part of the park at the right time. Oh well. At least they saw Aladdin. LOL They LOVED WOC and dinner at Carthay! Yesterday, AFTER LUNCH, he dragged her on Mickey's Wheel O Death. Swinging gondola, of course. And tried to swing it even more. I called him a butthead. I'm sure she called him worse. LOL

Nothing on the schedule here except the usual domestic bliss... laundry... dishes... clean the stove. Whee.... 55 days till my next DL trip. Did you see they are doing a holiday version of Jungle Cruise? I'm so excited. I booked a WOC dining (Carthay for lunch) yesterday. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Holiday version! And this will be the first time seeing the DCA decorations since they finished CarsLand and Buena Vista Street. *sigh* Is it December yet? LOL

Hello, ladies! Happy Hump Day!!

I'm so excited for tomorrow. It's my birthday for one, and some of the Divas are coming into town. Angie and Michelle. I am looking forward to some fun girl time! :cool1:
Anyway, I might not be around much until Sunday, so if you PM me meal sign-ups, I promise I will get to them when I get back. :thumbsup2

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU -- EARLY OF COURSE.

Wow you are so lucky to have friends come to party with you :).

I am so looking forward to the Diva trip. With holidays coming up fast I hope it will make the time between now and Diva trip go fast also.

I am already planning my drink and ***snack*** at the Napa Lounge. My daughter keeps telling me to eat at the chefs table. Her and son-in-law went last Oct. and well lets say -- she is still raving about her meal. We have yet to make the rack of lamb she so loved. I am thinking of making that on Thanksgiving as a surprise dish for Krista. She will be so happy :) Maybe I need to rethink my plan and just make it for dinner one night :). Ummmmmmmie with some warm popovers.

All have a great rest of week :). Excited to meet you all and make new friends :)

Patty :)

I know I seem a bit stingy, but I have checked with my transplant coordinator and her suggestion to me is room alone or with family. I just do not want to seem piggy :(. I want to remind any one that I do 10+ hours of treatments an evening which can at times be noisy especially if I end up having those dreaded bells and whistles going off at 3 am. My poor husband got the middle of the night what -- what -- eyes still closed -- huh sound. Had to call the help guy and we figured it out after 45 mins. Husband was like how much does that happen? Sigh-- don't you listen to me LOL . He has a hospital bed brought in for our stays as well he needs one so he has missed the late night calls to get me dializing again. Yep we are those people sleep in separate rooms due to his being in single hospital bed and that there is no room for all my stuff in his ADA room--- LOL. Just a side note DL hotels ( all 3 have had hospital beds brought in on separate occasions) they will take out one of the beds and place the rented hospital bed in it's place for your arrival. So if you ever need one Dekert's is great and DL Hotels are super.

Patty, whatever works the best for you is the most important. Sounds like you need a trip like this big time. I hope it all works out for you to have fun and enjoy yourself. :goodvibes

Lisa, we are going to DCA for the first time too in December. Looking forward to the decorations, the bell ringers on Buena Vista and the new WOC show. :goodvibes
What's this about the Jungle Cruise? :confused3

I completely understand why you need your own room! At first, I had my own for the same reason. My medical stuff keeps me up half the night. The only reason I agreed to share a room is the person I'm sharing with works at the nursing home I stayed in for a month this year. She already knows what she's getting into!

I am so excited to announce that my two daughters, one of my DILs and her mother and sister are coming on the trip. :cloud9:Hoping my other DIL changes her mind to come along also. :thumbsup2 I am still rooming with Cheryl, Linda and Bree. :grouphug: They are going to call the Grand, and see if there are any rooms available for five. After they find out, I will let you know their sleeping arrangements, and of course their names to add to the official list. Then, I needs to get Capri lots more money in time! :hyper::hyper::hyper: And pin them down for eats, tee shirts and so on. Oh, and they will only be staying Thursday and Friday night. I can't wait to introduce them to you all. They certainly hear about all of you, and have helped me a bunch on the tees. Now, they will get to bling their own. :goodvibes

That is awesome! I'm bringing my sister too, if health allows anyhow.

I'm so excited about the Diva trip! I'm bringing my niece, Brittany - we are staying on Harbor Blvd. and driving down with my BFF NorCalGal!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!:thumbsup2

Hope you're all having a good end of Oct. Any big plans for Halloween? Beth did you decide to do your Decorations in your yard this year? Any of you all dressing up? I waited to long to figure something out. I originally wanted to go as a pirate but then thought maybe Sally but now, thinking last minute painting my face as sugar skull?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL:clown: It's a ghost town around here. When I am working I can't get on fb unless on break so I can get on this. Thus why I am so chatty on here.

I now have roomies and I am so excited. Things are coming together after all. Karisa was kind enough to add me and Jennifer to her room. :goodvibes
I still need to send my holding fee for the bbq.
I have sent my request for a shirt and need to send that.
Hmm what else?

Hello, ladies!!
Whew! I am beat. Busy but fun day yesterday. Another successful Halloween. Lots of work putting up decorations in our yard all day, but so worth it to hear the comments from those who come to see it. At one point we had around 30 people just hanging out in our driveway taking pics and looking at everything. Our neighborhood is a dud when it comes to Halloween decorations so it's not hard to impress the neighbors. LOL!

It's all put away now though, and a few Thanksgiving decorations are out. I may or may not have over indulged in the kid's Halloween candy and now feel ill. haha! Oops!
Hope you all had a great night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH!!:cake:  See you after work!!
Awww, thanks!
