Second - good thoughts from your neighbors up North. Ok, I need Tink again... Lots of Pixie Dust Michayla's way so she can take the next step to move from ICU to a regular room. Sounds like she's making good progress and the nurses are giving her lots of TLC.

From your latest TR install... do you know with the Matterhorn rehab, are they going to try to smooth out some of the bumps? I love what they have done with Space Mountain, but have to say the Matterhorn of the past had a lot of ouch, ooch to it. At least at my advancing age I would love to exit from that ride and not have the need to gingerly rub my back as I'm standing up.

BTW, I didn't realize the purple Diva shirts had DIS DIVAS on the backside of the shirt. Too cute!

Too bad about the Matterhorn, but excited to see it's improvements. I am kinda hoping it's not as bumpy and rough with the new cars on it.

They're fun but probably a nightmare for the photopass people......
I know the Tomorrowland side was MUCH smoother than the Fantasyland side.

Walking right in at Pixie Hollow is unheard of, especially during a busy time......the parks were always busy....so SHOCKER!! But, this goes back to me saying that it pays to be there at opening!!!

Thank You!! She's doing 100% better & we've moved into a regular room at 5:30pm.....so she's actually laying on the bed playing & smiling.

As for the Matterhorn....I believe I had read that they were totally replacing the track as well as giving it a facelift. So hopefully that will smooth things out. I agree, with the birthdays not stopping...that ride was starting to get a bit painful.

I know the gals hate being photographed from behind.....but you miss out on the cute extras like that one!! Those shirts are awesome!!

SHE'S DOING REALLY WELL & EVEN SAT UP ON HER OWN IN BED THIS MORNING. I CAN TELL SHE'S WANTING TO GET OFF THE BED....SO HOPEFULLY WE CAN TAKE HER FOR A WALK TO THE PLAYROOM TODAY.

After our princess time, we went over to It's a Small World for our group ride. Beth decided to skip the ride & stand on the bridge to take pictures of the boat full of purple ladies.....and then wait over near the exit to catch us at the end of the ride. So I thought it was only fair that I get pics of her!!

We're loaded up on our boat & ready to go.....here's a couple Divas on the boat with me: Nicole, Lisa & Bridget!

I decided not to take pictures on the ride but to just sit back & enjoy it. When we got off, the top of the hour arrived & so I stood close to the attraction as it opened up & the little "dolls" came out & the time was displayed.

Another group came in & so I was able to get their picture:

Front to back: Jill, Daisy, Patrice/ Stephanie, Monica/ Kandace, Jamay/ Capri, Debra/ Wendy, Katie.

Back to the clock:

The last boat of ladies came in:

Unfortunately I was middle of the pack, so I didn't get a picture of every boat.....I think we ended up with 5 boats!!

After the ride, everyone split up to go off in small groups. I decided to go find Tyler.

While I was off doing the Diva Princess stuff.....Tyler got himself up & started his morning at the RiverBelle Terrace for breakfast!

He decided to go on the Jungle Cruise & so here are all his photos.

I've never seen this before........

After making it back from the jungle safely, he decided to take a ride on the Big Thunder Mt RR while he waited for me to get from IASW to Frontierland. He was coming out the exit when I passed by.

Next will be what we did before I had to meet up with the Divas for lunch.

I met up with Ty as he exited off BTMRR & we decided to head to Indy. The stand-by line was 45 minutes so we decided to go single rider. We receive a pass & go in through the exit. You wind your way thru & come to this room where you're stopped.

There is the single rider line & a wheelchair line.....the CM gets a few people from the lines & sends them though. You end up going into the theater room, where you end up merging with the stand-by line. Now I think we were supposed to get out of line & go in with the wheelchair people (though, they never tell you that).....so we went up the stairs with the masses.

It was about a 5 minute wait after merging with the group & we were loading on the ride together. So there's a MAJOR flaw with the single rider thing. We were able to cut off a good 30+ minutes in wait time by saying single rider. I'm actually surprised more people haven't figured this out. I felt a bit guilty doing it....but they never told us to give the pass to the CM at the wheelchair area (boarding area). So once you've merged back in to the group.....how would they know if you were supposed to be single rider or you had gone through the entire stand-by line??

So after our ride, we headed to the Enchanted Tiki Room to watch the show. While we waited to go in, we got ourselves a Dole Whip!!

We went inside the Tiki Room & enjoyed the show!!

Our next stop was BTMRR......so as we headed that way, Tyler took a couple pics of the Columbia Sailing Ship that was docked where the Mark Twain Riverboat usually is.

Big Thunder Mt Railroad.....MY FAVORITE!!!! This has become my favorite ride.......love it during the day & really love it at night!! I ride it holding on, no hands, goat trick, etc........I never tire of this runaway train!! Tyler loves it like me....so while we were in line, we both took pictures of the landscape/scenery for this attraction.

When we got off the ride, I took off to the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ & Ty took off to Fantasyland.

I don't know whose pictures are whose - if you took them or if Tyler took them - but there are some really great shots in that last update, with all the Big Thunder-area photos! Excellent clarity and composition! Also, some of the inside-the-Tiki-Room photos are great too.

The pics are intermixed......I got the close up of the dinosaur bones, the buzzard, the clothes line, the Big Thunder Saloon/Assay Office, the lamp in the center with the red barrels on the cart & the BTMRR sign.....the rest were Ty's. He caught the train a few times!!! I took the Tiki room pics....Ty got the sign as we were leaving.

Great shots Laurie! Love the ones from Big Thunder too. That last one of the falls is so pretty.

Ty got the pic of the falls.......they were really green this trip....I guess they add a coloring or something to keep them pretty.

You're right - that waterfall does look quite a bit greener!

I love all the photos you mentioned, and then some! You and Ty did a really great job of capturing all the rustic details around the Big Thunder ride and in that whole area. That buzzard picture is great!
