Shhhhh, don't tell anybody, but I've never worn a tiara on one of these trips.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Tina BoBina---for reals? I am shocked and disappointed in you. And quite worried that you have snuck that by me....tut tut.

A tiara would look lovely in your gorgeous dark hair. And, I heard a well selected tiara can make your butt look better.

:)

Man it's hard to keep up today!

OK, I wasn't going to start taking sign-ups for the Fantasmic Dessert Seating just yet, but since a couple of you mentioned it, what the heck. Might as well. ;)

If you are interested, let me know. I'll get a list going on the front page.

So far I believe I have:
Trudi
Ruth
Kerri
Cindy
Jen

Count me in for this one!

We just stayed at the DLH and it was great, but holy Hannah is that a loooooong walk!

What airport are you leaving from?

Is it farther than HoJo? Doesn't seem like it, but I guess with DTD there it might be. Still would be worth it to stay there just this once though!

I need roommates. I have a AP pass if that helps. I just got it since I was just in California for a Disney cruise :) I would be willing to stay either place. Though I think 3 would be needed for DLH at least to make it more affordable. I love rides too :) Oh I use a power wheelchair so accessible would be better though I can walk just not long distances. It would mean a bigger room which would be great for more room for everyone.

That would be awesome!

So who is in for a DLH room??? I think it was CittyCat that was interested in possibly sharing a room too. Will have to see what she thinks as well. :goodvibes

And me! I definitely want to do the Fantasmic party, it sounds so fun!

And, I heard a well selected tiara can make your butt look better.

:)
In that case, I'm gonna get the nicest, biggest tiara I can find! Maybe it will help detract from my ginormous behind.

Man it's hard to keep up today!
:rotfl: Yes, when the planning does get started around here, it can go fast and furious at times. It's sort of like months with nothing....then bam! 2 or 3 months of everything at once as it gets closer. LOL

I'll give you my take on the DLH. Not that you asked, but... ;) I loved staying there with Theresa. I'm so grateful to her for that because I'm pretty sure I never would have otherwise. The rooms were nice, beds were super comfy and I loved the light up head board with music probably more than my kids did!
But, we stayed in the Frontier tower, which was back past where the waterfalls used to be, and omg, it seemed like that walk took forever. It was really hot, which maybe made it worse, but it just felt like such a chore to go back and forth to the room. :confused3
Anyway, just keep that in mind, and maybe ask for one of the closer towers if nothing else. :)
I have you down as rooming with Jessica and Grace. Is that still the case?

TIARAS FOR EVERYONE!!!

I will help with enforcement. Amy, we are both bigger than Capri and Tina, so it shouldn't be a problem. ;)

I am in for sure for F!
WIWF, on the fence. I originally thought Sat, but may want to go offsite that day and do F! at night.

I like DTD for Wed dinner. I don't care for Naples, but HoB would be good. I don't recall them having any big tables though. I always love Storyteller's, too. And they have ample seating. Just throwing out thoughts.

Love the Big Thunder BBQ, it's sooo good!

And I agree, we need one fancy meal. Either Napa, SH55 or Carthay Circle.
Girl gotta have her wine! ::yes::

I will keep that in mind. I will be prepared for the walk!

Grace won't be coming. She is busy saving for a house, so decided not to do a Disney trip this time.

Not sure about Jessica. Last time I talked to her about it, she wasn't sure she was going to be able to afford to stay in a hotel. But that was a few months ago now, so I will have to check with her again.

Oh and Theresa, I meant to add this to my last post. I will be coming from Calgary and arriving at the LAX. I would kind of like to book my transportation to the hotel, but can't do that until I know which hotel I am staying at. Was going to check prices of the DLH but it appears that the online booking is down for a couple days.

The last time I went to HoB was on the first trip. We had a group of maybe...I'd say 10-12. We sat outside. It was good. It could work, depending on how big a group signs up.
I think half will want to go to Garden Walk and the other half stay on property. It's so hard with so many choices. Can you imagine if we were planning for WDW?? Forget it. With all those dining options, we'd need at least two weeks. :rotfl:

OKay, thanks!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I thought I was the only one who called it the Wheel of Death!!!
:thumbsup2
In my case, it is more the wheel of vomit. I can't do the swinging cars.

Ugh, turned green the one time I tried. The CM was very fast to let us off after one revolution. He did not want to have to mop, I am thinking.
I've never even been on it and I never will!

Add Sarah please. How many can do this?

So is there a difference between redneck and hillbilly? I like the hillbilly look.::yes::

Too funny I will be flying from Toronto :) My hubby and I stayed the the Best Western at 1110 Katella Ave. It was about a 10 minute walk to Downtown Disney was loved the walk. Beats having to wait for a bus at Disney World any day. The price was great and room was big. Had continental breakfast but it was crazy in there. So the walk is no issue to me since my power chair does the walking for me :) Oh we did the Costco deal. We got the forth night free, One free character meal. A 20.00 Disney card. And free pin. One Mickey morning magic and one early entry. Great deal :) Hojo is also part of the costco travel deal though they tend to sell off fast. Yes us Canadians can book through them :) You just need to stay 2 days to get the package.

Really? Another Canadian! :cool1: I didn't know Canadians could book through Costco. That's good to know! And it sounds like you got a lot of cool stuff included! I'm glad the distance isn't going to be a problem. I don't mind a bit of an extra distance either, to have the Disney hotel experience. And yes, it sure does beat the buses at WDW!

Is Early Entry different than Magic Morning?

Wow, that was some multi-quote, Theresa. Complete with ...'s and everything. Nice. :thumbsup2

Thank you, thank you very much......

Shhhhh, don't tell anybody, but I've never worn a tiara on one of these trips.

Say WUHHH??? How did that happen??

I agree - it's all about proportions and degree of sparkle.

Oh, LAX. I try to fly into SNA or Long Beach (much closer - less than half an hour). If you book a shuttle, they'll want to pick you up mucho early then because they don't usually go directly to the airport. Last time I used a shuttle, we drove around for over an hour picking up other peeps before going on to the airport. No bueno for me. I'm impatient and I want to get there NOW ;)

So is there a difference between redneck and hillbilly? I like the hillbilly look.::yes::

Pretty much the same thing, I think. Whacha thinking of wearing??? I'm guessing no tie dye, huh?

Yes us Canadians can book through them :) You just need to stay 2 days to get the package.

Go, Canada!! The only bad thing is that if you have an AP, you can't do it unless you want to buy a PH for the number of days you're there. Boo.

Crap. I'm so in trouble.

Hey Beth, put "Beer for Breakfast" on the schedule for the same morning as the Princess/tiara photo.

SWEET! Capri and her tiara with a beer in her hand at breakfast is a photo I would TOTALLY cherish!

Bonus points for tie-dye. :rotfl2:

She's wearing one with her tie dye!:rotfl:

Thank you for going there too!

Don't make me go all Ninja. :lmao:

<secretly wants to see Amy "go all Ninja"

Funny thing is, it doesn't bother me to be called that, only if it's spelled wrong! Like Stacy, Stacey, Staci ...

I'd be most likely to spell it "Stacy" as my ex hubby is named "Stacy" and spelling it with an E was the fastest way to get on his bad side. LOL

Wow, that was some multi-quote, Theresa. Complete with ...'s and everything. Nice. :thumbsup2

Um, okay, so I'm bored. Ruben's bringing home dinner, so no cooking for me tonight, soooo, I played with the schedule a bit more. Everyone, tell me what you think. Disclaimer: It's NOT set in stone. This is just me playing around, not trying to plan the entire trip all by my lonesome, so no one panic if you hate it. ;)

Wednesday, February 27:
Arrivals at various times throughout the day and evening
Lunch: Rancho Del Zocalo (you don't have to eat the food here if you don't like Mexican, but as Angie said it's a good first meeting spot and you can bring to-go items over from other restaurants)

Dinner: Two choices tonight. Cheesecake Factory for those who want to walk to Garden Walk. And House of Blues for those who want to stay on Disney property. We've had multiple options before and with such a large group, it almost works out better. Both places have fairly extensive menus too, so lots of food options.

Thursday, February 28:
Breakfast: Plaza Inn character meal? (assuming we can get in early enough to be done before 9:15 for the tour)
Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour @ 9:30
Lunch: Carnation Cafe?
5:30 p.m. - Meet and Greet Party @ Carousel Hotel (includes dinner)

Friday, March 1:
Breakfast: on your own before photo/hunt
Group photo in DCA (either at the fountain or in front of Mickey Wheel)
Scavenger Hunt
Lunch: To be determined based on where the hunt ends
Dinner: Again, two choices tonight. Carthay Circle for those who want to do "fancy" or the Big Thunder BBQ for those who want to use their fingers! lol

Saturday, March 2: (grey shirt)
*Optional off-site day at Newport Beach for those interested*
Breakfast: Riverbelle Terrace? Something quick and easy before the photo or tour.
Traditional Tiara/Princess photo, (if not available, tiara photo in front of castle),followed by group ride on It's a Small World
2nd Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour @ 9:30
Lunch: hmmm....not sure??
Dinner: Cafe Orleans? (those not wanting to fill up before the dessert seating can order pomme frites and/or soup, plus it's close to Fantasmic)
Fantasmic dessert seating (Time TBD)

Sunday, March 3: (your favorite Disney shirt)
Last day of the trip
Group farewell breakfast @ Mimi's Cafe

I don't know. I was just playing, like I said. There are so many choices, and not enough time! :rotfl:

This looks pretty good. Right now, Thursday is an early entry morning for Disneyland, so if we could get Plaza Inn ressies during that time, that would be perfect!

Tina BoBina---for reals? I am shocked and disappointed in you. And quite worried that you have snuck that by me....tut tut.

oops, not that it isn't FINE the way it is. :goodvibes

Thanks, friend!

Girl gotta have her wine! ::yes::

1. You are not bigger than me.
2. I do enjoy Storytellers, and it can be pretty quiet in there, making it easier to chat.
3. That slaw at the BBQ? Yummo!
4. We do need wine! And I've been dreaming of my dinner at Napa from the last trip. Best. Soup. Ever.

Thank you, thank you very much......

Not really I can buy it and give it to hubby for later use. Or I can get the package and donate it to a lady for a lesser price on my part of the room. It can be upgraded. There is no deal on the tickets so I would ask a little less for the cost of it. Since I am getting bonus's they could upgrade it. It has no names on it :) So not sure what way to go going to check if hojo's is on the list for the time the trip is. And also check the price of the Disneyland hotel :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I thought I was the only one who called it the Wheel of Death!!!
I call it the Swinging Pendulum of Death...I know it's not technically a pendulum, but the swings swing :scared1:
WHAT? Did you or did not see the "hog tie/rope/super glue" threat to Capri?

Do not think that you are exempt little missy.

Tiaras for everybody!!!

Don't make me go all Ninja. :lmao:
hahaha! Tiaras are a must...hey, it's only for a day. If my students can go without talking and sounds for 12 hours, we can wear tiaras for 12 :stir:
TIARAS FOR EVERYONE!!!

Can we make a shirt with this please?! :bitelip:

What can I say? I fly under the radar.

Not any more my little naive and trusting friend. Muhahahahahahaha.

Can we make a shirt with this please?! :bitelip:

What an excellent suggestion. Kind of like a battle cry like last year's

I have a TIARA, and I am not afraid to use it.

I am so totally not a girly girl and I like wearing my TIARA for the day.

True story. And can you give me a darn skippy?

Hello all I have decided to join the meet. I went a few years back and had a great time. If anyone is looking for a room mate let me know. My dates are flexible. Waves to all the people I met before.

Ruth.

Will be good to see you again Ruth!

Hmmmm. Stacie vs. Amy---who would be the winner? I'm not sure I would tempt Amy . . . . . plus, she has needles.

Ok--I want to do the Fantasmic dessert and the BBQ. Can we not have the fancy dinner be at the same time as the BBQ?

I'm not going to do the Walt tour--I find it too hard to do the guided tours in a scooter.

And I think I'm signed up for the Meet and Greet already, but if not please add me.

Thanks!
