Awww, Trudi, you are overdue! Take a train. They are very nice. I would have taken the train up to WA but it's a hassle from Vegas. No station here. But you can take a train from Palmdale to Union Station and then go just about anywhere from there. :thumbsup2
I love trains. I hope someday to take a cross country train trip but I will have to get a sleeping car.
Well, still sounds painful, but I'm glad to hear he's doing better.
I'd ask you if you've been taking care of him while dressing up in one of those naughty nurse costumes you can find in all the stores this time of year, but I know your mom will read this... :rolleyes1

Hi, Trudi. :wave2: Nothing to see here.... :p

Notice she didn't answer.:scratchin :rotfl:

Hi Everyone!

Taking a break from life and packing to pop in and say hello! Beth, congratulations on 20 years with Ruben. Your trip will be awesome just because you will be together and child free and focused only on each other. Funny, Bill and I go to Vegas to have that time:) You might want to consider the mountains while you are here too. They are so gorgeous! Maybe a trip to Leavenworth. They will have the tree lighting going on at that time and probably will have some snow. I also think the EMP in Seattle is worth checking out, and they have a tour of Pike Place market that is not underground that might be interesting. The local entertainment books have a lot of coupons for buy one get one entries. I happen to have a stock pile since my son sells them for a fundraiser, so I can get you those coupons:) I would love to see you while you are here but we are going to be in the midst of moving. But you will be right in my hood, so let's try for a coffee at least!

Ok, the Saratoga Springs Tree Houses looked awesome, but you have to take a bus to Saratoga Springs and then take another bus to parks. Insane! And the bus service at Saratoga Springs is iffy at best. I say rent a car if your going to stay in those for sure! I actually would have loved to just stay at Saratoga Springs as resort stay and not even do parks. It was really lovely.

TGIF!!!! Finally! LOL I so do not want to be at work today.....I want to be at home getting ready for my Halloween party tomorrow night. :) I made the jewelry for my witch costume last night, it turned out really nice and I'll be able to wear the pieces again after Halloween. :) I made a pair of earrings with purple and black beads, purple feathers (skinny feathers) and some hearts that shimmer in shades of purple and I made a necklace with a purple and black glittery pendant, really pretty! :) I also worked a little on my Blue Fairy jewelry again, I have something I'm trying to do but it isn't working quite how I want so I need to keep trying. I need to clean the house, finish decorating and do my nails, I was hoping to get some of that done tonight, at least the cleaning and nails and some decorating. I also have laundry to finish because I kept forgetting about it last night. lol I'll be busy tonight and tomorrow but tomorrow night will be fun. :)

Beth, 20 years is amazing, congrats to you both.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Evil can be good. :).

I have stayed at SSR. I have stayed at many of the WDW resorts. BCV AKL kidani pop century. ASM. WLV. OKW. I think that is all of them. LOL. My favorites are AKL and BCV. OKW to me was relaxing. Home type if feel.

I also stayed at GCV at Disneyland.

To Everyone going to DL this weekend....HAVE FUN!!!! :dance3:

So get ready for an invasion of cheerleaders in March LOL.
I feel like we have been there at the same time as the cheerleaders before. I don't remember being overwhelmed, but I was once one myself. :goodvibes
Hi Jen!

It was fun to see you!:goodvibes

Ladies, let me tell you.
I will never go on the weekend of the CHOC walk again.
:headache::headache::headache:
I have never seen the lines so long, and like Jen said, DTD was absolute nuts. You couldn't get to DL, without waiting forever for the walkers to get out of the way. I was not a happy camper. The event is for a good cause, but for someone who is not involved, it was insane to do anything. Of course it didn't help that the park didn't open until 10:00. Every one is up by then and ready to go.
Hi again Mel! It was good to see you too (before the massive crowds!) I will never go back to the parks on a weekend in October again. That was a nightmare. Luckily for us, a supervisor took pity on us Sunday morning and gave us two complimentary FP's to use as an anniversary present since we were only getting two hours in the park. We rode Matterhorn and ST. I think over the entire weekend we only were able to go on rides 10-12 times. We did however, ride all of the Main Street vehicles for the first time. One of the drivers switched vehicles as well and started laughing at us. "Hey, no lines!" we told him. :rotfl2:
I heard about this. You'd think Disney could find a way to make it not flip. I really liked that part. Wonder what they do now for that scene.
I read somewhere that it was fixed, but the Jasmine was too scared to go back up and they were waiting for her contract to end so they could hire someone new.
Holy cow. LOTS of dissapointing news today for the parks. No BTMR for almost a year. FP returns enforced starting in Nov! Raising ticket prices during the holidays even worse than they already are. I mean it goes on and on. So dissapointing. Well it will hit back eventually. They are going to overprice themselves and restrict things that people WILL eventually stop going. Nothing lasts forever.
More price increases?! I think it is time to take a year or two off, save money, and go on a Disney Cruise or a WDW trip instead. (for my family at least)
I haven't read the article but I think enforcing FP return times is a good idea. I hate having a late return time made twice as long because people saved all their FP's until night.
Guilty! I like using them in the evening when lines are longer....:cool2:
Oh well. I'm actually okay with not going to Disney. Like I said before, other than our family trip in May, which was lovely, it's been so crowded. Plus with all the unfavorable changes they are making... I don't know. I think I am getting Disneyed-out!! :scared1:
Carol and I talked about this a little bit too- that the crowds almost make us question why we keep coming. I think it will still be another year before we notice big changes. There will have been many people (including myself) that purchased new AP's before the summer price hike that didn't activate them until now or won't until the end of the year. Once those people's passes expire- maybe less will renew at the hugely inflated prices. I know I will not renew next October unless we win the lotto. Both of the boy's expire in the next 3 months and I am not renewing theirs.

TGIF ladies!! Hope you are all having a good day. Ruben took today off so we could go have a nice breakfast just the two of us, and then hit some Halloween stores for ideas. I think I know what I want to do...now I just need to find hay bales and corn stalks... in Las Vegas. LOL

Have a good evening!

The treehouse villas are apart of Saratoga Springs resort across from DTD. The were saved and restored. The cost 2 bedroom DVC points BUT have 3 bedroom space area. Someone can correct me here. Want to say 9 to 12 ppl can stay??

Hmmm, sounds neat. I'll have to do a Google search and check it out.

in 12 hours I'll be somewhere in the air over the middle of California...... LOL
Safe travels and have fun!!

Cheryl has stayed in a tree house villa. She'll have to chime in :thumbsup2
Speaking of - Cheryl, Brianne and I are doing the holiday tour on 11/17 - I booked it yesterday at the 30 day mark. :)

Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow and Sat!
Happy almost Friday everyone pixiedust:
The tour sounds nice. Have fun this weekend. Wish I could be there.... Say hello to everyone for me.

Notice she didn't answer.:scratchin :rotfl:
She's a smart girl. haha

Hi, Tracey! Thanks, although it's not 20 years until next June. We are just getting a jump start on the celebration :cool1: :rotfl: Hey, gotta go when the child care is there. Also, I think it would be too crowded in summer. :confused3

I think we are going to spend 3 nights on Orcas Island, one in Coupeville, one in Langley, and one in Seattle. A week sure goes by fast, but at least I'll get a taste of the area. Finally!

TGIF!!!! Finally! LOL I so do not want to be at work today.....I want to be at home getting ready for my Halloween party tomorrow night. :)
Have fun at the party!!

Wonderfully evil... ;)

Exactly! :thumbsup2 Well, that's what I am doing. I'm not a fan of all the changes DL has made lately. I know some are okay with it, and that's fine, but I'm ready to take a park break for awhile.
I'll have to talk to Ruben and see what he thinks about doing WDW and Universal FL in 2015. If he's for it, then I might just wait until then and focus on saving for that. Not sure if my older two kids would be interested, but we could always just take the twins. I don't know. Right now I need to get past our WA and Diva DL trip.

Didn't do the quotes this time so I am just going to go off what I am remembering lol

I would be very interested in doing a WDW dis trip, did you say 2015? Well ok that should work for me.

It's just a few months after my future cruise in Nov 2014 for our 25th anniversary. Which will be in July but we are so not doing it in July way too hot. So we shall go late.

I have been sick all week with a head cold. I sound like crud but today I don't feel as cruddy. I sure hope it gets better.

Have to go to dmv tomorrow. We just bought a used van and need to register it. I am thankful I have a friend who works there and can get me in front of the line.lol

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Oh and the treehouses are really cool. We have only stayed at POR and POFQ and each time we would take a boat ride and go past them and say how cool they are. I would love to have a chance to stay there.

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

Beth, that sounds like a great trip. I would love to see more of the West Coast. Maybe next road trip we will plan to head that way. Makes for a lot longer of a drive, but we'd see some stuff we haven't before! Congrats on 20 years! I know, it's early, but still a long time!

We saw a glimpse of Sarratoga Springs when we accidentally got on the wrong bus from DTD at night, and it looked like a beautiful resort from what we could see. I think I would like to stay at the Boardwalk though. Or if we really could afford it- the Grand Floridian!

We just got home from seeing Paranormal Activity 4. Such a good movie if you like scary stuff! I love those movies and hate them all at the same time. They are the only movies that have actually truly scared me. I have goosebumps just thinking about them! But I still go see them anyways.

Tomorrow Seth is getting some photos taken. I am excited as this lady takes amazing photos. We love everything she has done with Seth before. And we will also open his halloween exchange package. I am excited for him to see what he got! :)

I am caught up.

I am home.

I am tired. LOL

I had a great time with Carol, Wendy, Cheryl, Linda, Capri, Tammy and Tina! (I hope I didn't forget any Divas!) Saw the Billies THREE times in two days! (we saw the show today and then sat there talking so long that the next show started! LOL)

BETH - today was your PERFECT WEATHER MORNING! It RAINED! Well, drizzled actually, but Toy Story was a 10-15 minute wait this morning and RSR single rider was about 20. I had a 10 minute wait for Soarin too. Regular line, not single rider! Front row too! Then, the rain stopped and the hotels emptied into the park and the wait for Haunted Mansion was EIGHTY MINUTES. Didn't stop me from my Monkey Bride viewing. LOL It was NASTY CROWDED today after the rain stopped. It was pretty bad yesterday afternoon in DL too, but not like today. Ick.

Next week at this time I'll be in Vegas, baby! LOL Looking forward to my big Vegas splurge which is the buffet at Belagio. Mmmmmmmm.......

And now I'm off to catch up on FB and email and GO. TO. BED. LOL

It's coming to the end of the weekend. I am sad. I went to do a lot of running around. Then we saw Alex Cross. It was good but not great. I love Tyler Perry but the acting was not so good by most of the others. Of Mathew Fox did an excellent job at being a mad man. Wow.

Today got in an argument with my youngest daughter who thinks my husband and I favor my grandson over her daughter. So not true but since he is older he can do more with his papa than she can so it's not fair, yada yada. It's an old argument that is getting me mad. Since we do so much to help them out all the time. She even said she hated me and well I informed her one day her daughter will say those to her until then she has no idea how hurtful it is to hear.

So oldest daughter and I went to the movies to see paranomal 4. We love scary movies. Then dinner at my moms for sisters bday and the best is yet to come. A lovely sleep study. UGH!! Not wanting to do that at all.

Hello ladies!
This weekend went by too fast. Hope you all had a good one.

Lisa, welcome back! Glad it was fun. Remind me again when you'll be here. Are you coming with your DH or friends? Where are you staying?

Andrea, I want to see Paranormal 4. My husband is not into scary movies at all though. lol

Michele, I'm sorry about the fight with your DD. You're right, until she hears those words from her own daughter, she has no idea how much it can hurt. I hope you are able to clear the air with her, and she realizes how mistaken she was.

Everyone else, hello!!

Lisa, welcome back! Glad it was fun. Remind me again when you'll be here. Are you coming with your DH or friends? Where are you staying?

We are debating cancelling the trip. If we still go, we get into vegas Saturday morning and I leave Tuesday afternoon. He leaves Monday afternoon (this was booked when he was working, so he only wanted to take one vacation day). We will lose the timeshare points since it's less than 15 days out, but we would have the airfare to use for something else.

Rainy Monday today! Went to bed to pouring rain, woke up to pouring rain. It's stopped now though. Saturday the party was a success, we all had a great time! It was such fun!! Yesterday Amy came over and we sewed a lot on her costume, not done yet though, I didn't realize how much work it would be to sew a full length coat. LOL I've never done a project this large before, but together we are working it through! We made dinner (tri-tip, potatoes, bread) and then after we watched OUAT we worked a bit more and then she left. After she left I worked on my earrings, I want to do this one thing but it just isn't working the way I want so I'm still playing with them. I'm mostly finished, just need to finish the jewelry, figure out how to attach the lights to the skirt and make a pouch for the battery pack. I really wish I could get little twinkle lights for my hair but I haven't seen anything like that. Amy is coming back tonight for more costume work, we are hoping to get everything almost done tonight. We are going to make chicken noodle soup and biscuits for dinner. YUM!! After she leaves I'll work on my jewelry some more.

Helloooooooooooo!!!!

I was in a Dollar Tree store today looking for cheap cheap cheap Halloween items for my daughter's Halloween party that is coming up this Friday.

Public Service Announcement: Glittery tiaras galore. $1. No excuses. For. Reals.

Well, let me know what you decide.

We're waffling. Problem is, Russ loves to play in the casinos. Needless to say, gambling is not an approved expense right now. I mean, I can justify eating out once at Belagio's buffet. I could justify a reasonably priced show. I can't justify just handing money over. LOL The timeshare has a full kitchen and they run a shuttle to Von's for shopping, so we could do most of our eating in the condo. I can always go buy a new jigsaw puzzle and do that. Bring some movies. Hang out in a place I don't have to clean. With a jacuzzi tub. Purr. We will lose my airfare - apparently it was from a ticket from last year, so I may go anyway. Wanna run away from home for a couple nights, Beth? It's a two bedroom unit. LOL

Hi everyone!

I am home again, and there is no rest for the wicked around here.

Friends from Texas flying in tonight, got delayed and now our dinner plans are delayed. I'm getting hungrier by the minute just knowing I have to wait. Tomorrow we will be keeping them busy.

Also gearing up for our big masquerade party this Friday, and Dave's HS reunion the next day.

Beth, after this weekend, I will be getting serious about ordering the sweatshirts and so on. So I will be PMing you the info to post on Facebook, and what ever you are allowed to do here.
Thanks! :goodvibes
