DIS Digi Scrapping Challenge #52 (4/8-4/14)

Beautiful layouts everyone! :flower3:Love to see what everyone has come up with for this challenge. If I get a bit of time this weekend, I'd love to participate also!

Here is my layout, this was my girl's first trip to Disney, FL, Sea World, ocean (for the younger 2), and 1st time seeing a lizard! :)

This is from our first parade. Journalling reads:
It wasn’t our first trip to Disney, but it was our first parade! We were coming off of the Kilimanjaro Safari and came across the parade route with lots of open spaces for standing because the parade had already come by the first time. We hopped in place, got some ice cream and waited for the parade to come back by. I can see why some people say this is their favorite parade. It was so vibrant and festive! The animals were beautiful...just like at The Lion King Festival and in the Broadway show. The kids didn’t want to sit and wait for the parade when we originally said that was what we were going to do, but they were glad they had when it was over.

I forgot! I used Addicted2Design's Lomo action on all the photos to give them more vibrant color.

Thanks for the fun challenge Krisi. I really can't believe we started these challenges a whole year ago! That's incredible!!!! Here is my entry for challenge #52!

These are our group photos from our trip we took to celebrate our first anniversary of our Disneyland email group that I started with my family and a few friends. It was a lot of fun, which is why we went again this year for our 2nd anniversary. It's become a great tradition.

Journaling Reads: It started out as a way to bring a little Disneyland magic into our lives each day. A simple email Monday thru Friday, containing a photo of Disneyland sent to friends and family who also loved and missed Disneyland. Our group grew rapidly and the emails went on and on! As I realized we would actually go an entire year with these emails, a plan evolved to all head to the Happiest Place on earth together as a group! A trip with one day day dedicated to the DPOTD group that would be filled with a scavenger hunt, photos and lots of laughs! Well, here we all are on our very first DPOTD Disneyland trip. It is sure to be the first of many!

Here is my submission. We went away this weekend so I got some scrapping done. It uses the prize kit - Once Upon a Time from Color with Caryn.

I recolored 2 things in this layout thanks to Melissa's fantastico instructions!

Everything was a freebie from Haynay and a alpha from Britt. :)

I really don't celebrate much at Disney, unless you consider "Saturday" a celebration. In fairness, this baseball game was a celebration of my friend's b-day, but I don't have any photos of the b-day girl. :(

Here's mine. It wasn't hard to decide which photos to scrap, but it took a few versions to get it to a place where I liked it.

Journaling:
We celebrated our eleventh anniversary in style - at Disney World. My sweet hubby surprised me with roses, wine, monogrammed towels and chocolate in our room after a fun day in the park. December 2008

Terri knows I've celebrated my birthday in WDW! I think I've been there on my actual birthday two or three times since my birthday is near our Spring Break. The following is from 2003 at Liberty Tree. Nothing like celebrating with family and my favorite characters! I even got a hug from Goofy!

p.s. I heard rumors on a podcast that the character dinner may be coming back to LTT! Yay!

I had a hard time finding photos for this challenge. I ended up using some that aren't even digital in their original form. (An I have a feeling this layout, or at least the photos in it, won't print well since they were so tiny when I originally pulled them into PS.)

I have to say, though, I'm quite pleased with the way this turned out. :)

DH proposed to me while sitting on the deck of the Grand I yacht watching "Fantasy in the Sky." He worked hard to make it a surprise, and boy was it! Everyone in town knew what he was planning, including the ladies at the bulk mail post office. They even tried on my ring. Oh, and the flight attendants even got a peek at my ring while I was asleep in my row 1 seat. (It was when you were still allowed to chat with them in the galley.)

Such fantastic layouts this week. Everyone has such great memories of Disney celebrations. After my daughter got her doctorate, we all met in Disney World and celebrated. Of course, she and her husband went on the Disney cruise before Disney World so the rest of us were a little jealous!

What fabulous entries we had for this week!

Here are my remaining comments:

Cavea001 - Looks like you guys had lots of fun and I love the blocking of your photos.

Yzerbear19 - Love all the black and white photos with the soft colors.

BooToo - The template you chose was perfect for those 4 pictures. I love those towels too!

Susan0326 - This page is just stunning! I love all the little details you have in there.

RRBB - How romantic and what a great story to remember.

Pooh46 - Great page. Love the celebration you chose.

Watch for the winner to be chosen soon -- there is 8 more minutes for someone to submit a layout!

The next challenge should be posted shortly by Fran98765.

:woohoo: Congratulations, Bob! Next time I'm on that ride I'm gonna keep my camera in hand!

Everyone's LOs were so wonderful. Once again I'm sorry that I didnt' have a chance to comment on each one. It's always such an enjoyable time for me to see what people make, and for this one, celebrate!

Congrats to Bob and I just wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoyed the layouts and the celebrations!!!

I really enjoy looking at all these amazing digital los, and thanks for putting all of them in one post. It makes it so much easier for the lurker!

First I was made an honorary girl, now my page is chosen for the weekly challenge... y'all just treat me *too* good! :)

As most of you know I am really more of a photographer than a scrapbooker, my pages don't really compare to most of yours but I am learning a lot and having great fun being a part of this group!

Thanks all! :)
