This week's challenge is about FOOD! Disney FOOD! I love the food at the parks, eating there is almost it's own little mini vacation for us... plus I don't have to do the dishes! I challenge you to create a Disney meal at home and scrap about it. Add the recipe or say what you love about it at Disney and how easy or hard it was to create at home. Take some pics of it at home, if possible! If you have a meal you love and have taken pics of it at the parks, maybe take pics of it at home too to compare!

Did you know that you can ask the chef at any Disney restaurant for the recipe? Millions of recipes are online as well, I will post some sites for you to peruse, plus there are park cookbooks as well. We have one and we use it all the time, especially for company. Telling them they are eating a Disney meal makes it more magical!

Note that if you just cannot create a Disney meal in your home this week, improvise somehow! Be creative! No one is really a stickler around here about requirements! Get a page done and have fun!

Here are a couple examples I have done, BUT I did these LOs a LONG time ago when I was a n00b, so they are old school style and do not necessarily reflect my current scrapping style! LOL :)

Here are some links to Disney park recipes, Google has a million more!

funnily enough this just happens to fit in with what dd wanted for dinner when she came in from school!! gill

Fran, this is a good one! Now I'll be able to (hopefully) finish the LO I started for a challenge from a few weeks ago.

Here's yet another site for recipes. The first post has a link to the index for all of the recipes - and there's TONS here! So, you also may want to give it a try if you can't find something on the links Fran posted.

I gotta get working on this so I can get it posted before we leave on vacation!

OMG, what a fun challenge. I have just the dish in mind. I've been wanting to try it out just never had the motivation before. Now I will definitely get on it. Thanks for the push Fran. :)

alright, you're all going to kick me off the boards!

We didn't eat at Disney! (I know, shock!) We had a timeshare and ate all our meals but a few there. To save money the only fancy meal we ate was for a Character dinner, and the food was normal everyday food. We ate snacks or small stuff at the parks. I have picky eater girls, so anything fun was out of the question.

I'm getting ready to leave for vacation too.....but I'll think of something. It might just be food at the park, and I may have to scan it in. But I'll come up with a layout before we leave on Fri. Fun challenge though. I've already decided that our next trip, we are taking pictures of fun food at fun restaurants! ;)

Can it be about food at one of the parks? I need to scrap some meals from our last trip. I'm not sure I have time to try a new meal right now and take pictures, etc. I'm so busy, I'm good if my family gets fed. LOL!

WOW! What a great challenge! I wish I had time to find a recipe and try it this week, but things are crazy. Thank you for the link to the recipes though!! I'm off to drool!

Yep, find a way to make it about Disney food and we're all happy folk! :)

Will see what I can do. We just got back earlier today but ate at Blue Bayou for my birthday dinner and loved the potatoes so may try to make those up with a steak. Hopefully this will be in time for the challenge!

looks like i'm the first to post. Pancakes may not be the fanciest food at wdw but it's one of the things my ultra fussy daughter will eat and looks forward to every time we go on holiday

mumloveseeyore - Great page! I love how you framed the pics and adding the knife and fork was super!

Here is my layout. I borrowed my photos from Neverland Scraps from her trip to Disney back in March.

I'm bummed. We're leaving on vacation tomorrow and I just didn't have the time to do my lo. I've been wanting to do this one for a while. Oh well, maybe next time.

Thanks for the challenge. My DH has mono right now, so we aren't cooking large meals of any kind, as he's not very hungry. I used Disney food photos from a previous trip, so I hope that still qualifies me...

Here's my layout. I made this dish last Thursday. It was so easy, especially since I used pre-shredded broccoli slaw instead of chopping it myself. I also threw in some extra shredded carrots for color. It came out pretty good, but I think it wasn't quite so tangy at the restaurant - maybe a different vinegar or a little more sugar? Even still, I liked it a lot. DH wasn't quite as fond of it as the original though.

kathleena - beautiful page, the stack is gorgeous. I have this recipe in my Disney cookbook and have almost tried it a couple times!

mla973 - great collage of park foods, love the Mickey too! We've never made it to Cape May, we keep trying but haven't been there yet! Looks yummy!

RRBB - love the bright happy colors. The slaw looks very good, how awesome you tried it at home! I have found that the recipes sometimes do need a tweek, especially ones like slaw, you know they make pounds of it at a time so the ratio might be off when they reduce to a normal family size.

Robin- I love that slaw! I may have to try and make it using your recipe. The slaw isn't in my Cape May photo above, but I have a few plates that show it. It's one of my favorite sides from that restaurant. Thanks for sharing the recipe! I never even thought about making it on my own.
