I am SO excited to host my first DISchallenge.

The dates for this weeks challenge and last weeks challenge with overlap for today, so feel free to play both.
Melissa will be chosing a winner after her challenge ends... so you have time to check it out.

Alright, here we go!!! Here is your challenge:

- Its all about making photo collage with both photos and element/treasures. (think paper scrapping)
- Use many photos, feel free to stack them around on your page like a collage.
- Be sure to date your page.
- Make sure there is a Mickey on the page, hidden or not is up to you.
- Your photos can be of anything you like, as long as they are in some way Disney-related (Cruises, parks, costumes, Disney on Ice, etc. etc.)

Pretty simple, huh?

Here is my LO to get things started:

That's it! One lucky winner (chosen by my DD, Sophia) will win a their choice of anything in my Sahlin Studio shop

Here are some examples of kits I have in my shop:

I know we've brought this up before, and I don't want to spark a debate or anything (I'm not that passionate about it ...), but ... :)

... I really don't have any Disney photos to scrapbook with. :(

I live near Disney, so I going to the parks isn't that big a deal (eeek!). I mean, it's super awesome, but I don't take photos of me on a ride, or me ordering a Mickey bar, or me standing in front of the castle, etc...

But I love these challenges because it forces me to do new things (recoloring - thanks Melissa) and it forces me to scrapbook.

Would anybody be opposed to me scrapbooking regular photos? I agree that I would not be eligible for any of the prizes. I just really enjoy having a deadline and a list of directions.

:)

Here's mine. It's more cluttered than I normally would do, but I thought it would work for this challenge. :) When I print the page, I'm going to add the actual birthday button rather than just the scanned version. :D

Here's my layout. The date is on the invitation. The Mickey is VERY subtle behind the journaling.

Thanks for the fun challenge Krista. I really had to think about some of my items and how to place them. But I'm pleased with the way this turned out in the end.

Oh Krista, what a great challenge and I have SO many new Disney pictures. However, I'll miss the challenge since I'm in WDW and won't be home until next week. Wish I had Photoshop on this laptop!!

WOW guys!! Awesome layouts!

Heather: LOVE the colors for this and how you've put in the button and stickers!! It great! Totally looks like a collage type paper layout! LOVE all of the details like the Mickey head on the flowers, and the cropped and cool photos!!

RRBB: This is SO cute!! LOVE this pretty princess layout!! You might have had troubles, but I can't tell at all!! I LOVE all of the photos and the "ticket" looking one. Really cute how you put the crown on her head too!

Thanks for hosting, Krista! I hope this fits the instructions. I'm always wary that I'm going to do something stoopid again like reading them then immediately forgetting what I was supposed to do... :rolleyes1
