I'm still quite sore, and am really suffering with it!
Had my letter today to make an appt to see the specialist at Walton hospital, :scared1: I really don't want to make that call.... but I know I have to..
Thanks Nat for asking after me

Our next WDW holiday is in 10months and I would love to loose 5 or 6 stone. It sounds loads when I put it like that  but i'm going to aim for a stone every two months and just see how it goes.
I lost 5 stone in just under 10 months with Weight Watchers (the next 12lbs was more of a struggle) but I didn't focus on the speed of my loss at all. Once you start giving yourself deadlines you're just giving yourself stress that you don't need. Everyone loses weight at different speeds it's down to your body type and there is nothing you can do about it.

What you can do, though, is make sure you follow your diet plan to the letter and up your exercise a little. I found that wearing a pedometer and making sure I did my 10,000 steps a day was more achievable for me than formal exercise.

Good luck with it all, I know I feel much better physically and mentally now.

Thanks for that advice Libby :)

Great advice. Can I ask what pedometer did you use? I want to get one but am not sure what to go for. I had a cheap one a few years ago and it was rubbish! :headache:

Thanks in advance.

I just got back from my SW class.....I am happy to say that I only put on 2lbs! :) I was absolutely dreading going tonight as I have missed 3 weigh in's and have not been able to get my head around it, I have been so bad that I just wanted to give up with it!

I am so pleased that I face up to it and it was no where near as bad as I thought it would be....I am now ready to start again this week. :goodvibes

Good luck everyone. pixiedust:

Thanks for making me feel so welcome here and offering your words of support and encouragement :grouphug:

Well done on going back Pinky and getting back on track, glad that your weight gain was only a little one. You'll soon loose that 2lb :)

Dimplenose your weight loss is amazing, you must feel so proud of yourself and so much healthier. The exercisse idea is a great one and I really do need to up my activity levels. Currently we are decorating the lounge and I painted for almost 3 hours today so thats a good start. I have a pedometer here so I will have to try your steps ideas.

As an aside last time we were in WDW one of the bus drivers told us that the average family walks 80miles around Disney, there is a good excuse for going back if I ever heard one :cool1:

I started off with one from a sports shop. I can't remember the make but it was good because it had a cover to stop you accidentily resetting it. When the clip broke on it I replaced it with one I bought at my Weight Watchers meeting.

:wizard: I hope you manage to shift those 2lbs for next week, and are able to get back on track

I hope to lose it this week...I am back on track today, feeling determined! Good luck to you.

good luck :wizard:

Thanks Natalie, good luck to you to.

Well done everyone - it is really inspiring reading all your successes.

I went to Slimming World tonight, so my diet starts properly tomorrow. My head feels in the right place for this if that makes sense and I am pretty determined. My best friend is getting married in September and I want to get something nice to wear that doesn't have to come from Evans! Our next WDW holiday is in 10months and I would love to loose 5 or 6 stone. It sounds loads when I put it like that  but i'm going to aim for a stone every two months and just see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a good week.

a good friend of mine has lost about 5 stone over the past year with Weight Watchers and exercising every day. She still has about 3 stone to go, but she looks and feels so much better.

At the beginning it was very difficult for her to exercise. She had knee pain and it was just difficult to exercise with the extra weight. But she started going to a workout place and did as much as she could. Which wasn't much to start.
She began with 10 minutes on the stationary bicycle (easier on her knee).
She slowly increased her time.

Then after a few months, after she'd already lost quite a bit, she added the treadmill.
So now she does an hour each day - 30 minutes on the bicycle and 30 minutes on the treadmill.
It's amazing how much she has progressed and how great she feels now.

I don't think she'd have been able to lose 5 stone without the exercise in addition to the diet.

When i first joined ww i lost a total of 4st 4lb :) it took a long time but it was worth it.

ive been back to ww a few times since but ive never put back on all the weight and im determined that i won't !

Determination counts for a lot :wizard:

Morning Everyone

I'm chuffed to say that I have lost another 1lb this week. I've only got 2lbs to lose till I get to my 'haven't been this light for years' weight, but it really is getting tough, and I probably won't reach it for another month - but I'm keeping focussed :thumbsup2

I'm off to Manchester tomorrow, so that will entail a meal at Frankie & Benny's and several bottles of wine, so I won't be too hopeful to lose anything next week;)

Well done to all the losers and those who have STS

:wizard: .. and good luck for next week:wizard:
