Welcome to our new weekly DIS Dieters thread, where I hope like the legend that is Mr 'Everone say huh!' Motivator :worship: we will encourage, motivate and hopefully congratulate each other when we lose, STS and eventually reach our targets :yay:

Personally I am one of those people who is always on a diet, but I don't really get into it properly until a month or two before my holiday

Well I've weighed in this morning and I've got about 9lbs to lose in just under 7 weeks :faint: My weigh-in day will be on a Friday, as I tend to do well in the week, then let myself down over the weekend :blush:

If you get a moment tell us about your dieting regime, what diet you're following and if you have any tips to keep the dreaded weight off, and if you wish to share with us how much you've lost and your target, then that will be great too

I weigh in every Tuesday at Slimming World & to be honest have struggled keeping on track since for the last 6 weeks or so but I gave myself a kick up the bum last week and have been good this week so hopefully I will have a loss tomorrow. I'll be back to report in then. :thumbsup2

Im following SW, ive never been to a class and do it by myself.
Im also a member of a great SW support site that i use to keep me upto date with any plan changes. :thumbsup2

I did lose loads for my trip to Florida last May but have been struggling since and gained most of it.

I restarted on Thursday-my weigh in days are Thursday.
I do have a lot to lose, so im just taking it a step at a time. :)

Hi Mandy I am going to join in too! I bet you will have no problem getting to your target!

I lost 5stone back in 2000 for my wedding in 6 months! I lived in the gym and did not eat more than 10gms fat a day!! I am hoping to get back to what I was on my wedding day so need to shift 2stone...it's all the kids fault Lol! My weigh in day will be Friday
 

I'm going to join back in. I did really well until my holiday in July but I've put a couple on a couple off etc since then. The kids are back in school now and I'm back to work tomorrow so I know I'll do better when I'm in a routine:)

My w/i day is a tuesday.

I just wanted to pop on and wish you all good luck :) I know hard it is 2 years ago I started my diet I wanted to lose 30 lbs but went way over and lost 40 lbs I stuck to a calorie control diet I still kind of stick to it but not as strict now

I'm hoping to lose a couple of pounds between now and Sept 18th as I'd like a little 'cushion' for all the cruise food I'm going to enjoy!!! I've got back to the gym (after a lengthy absence) and am eating super-sensibly (high protein, low carbs) in an attempt to reach my goal...

Well its less than 5 weeks for us now....

I'd like to lose 5-8lb to give me some "eating" room whilst on holiday :rotfl:

I have been trying to lose 1/2 stone for several years now, despite much exercise and much being good. It doesnt seem to matter whether I exercise or not, eat and drink nothing or everything in sight, nothing happens!

I even did the Cambridge diet reasonable properly for 4 weeks and only lost 5 lb overall :rotfl2:

I'm planning on really just eating less - and no carbs after work. I already exercise 4/5 days a week so will be trying to keep that up too.

Good luck everyone - this weekly thread will be great motivation. :goodvibes

Well, I've bitten the bullet and started my diet again today. I am an official yoyo dieter who leaves losing weight until the last minute!!

I have three months to go until my hols in Orlando and want to shop, so need to lose at least 2 stone, which is doable, given my size.

So no more chocolate, biscuits, cake, bread..... god, I wish I could just hibernate and lose weight:rotfl::rotfl:

Plan to weigh when I want but not too often as it may discourage me.

Oh well, good luck everybody:thumbsup2

I've started mine today, I need to lose a min of 2 stone, so Im following a low fat, low calorie diet. Im also doing a 20min a day routine of Zumba, its a new dance exercise which looks easy but it moves almost every part of your body, so far Im loving it and the music is brilliant.:thumbsup2

I've spent the kids school holidays (7 weeks), going up and down....so cross with myself:scared1:

Anyway I am getting myself back in gear. Today I got up early to exercise before work, only 30mins but want to stick to this every day...fingers crossed.

Our next trip to WDW is Sept 2011 and I want to be the lightest that I have ever been to the world.....maybe a tall order:rotfl:

I have the Zumba DVDs, Sue - they're great aren't they?!! :goodvibes I love the shaker things - tho' I did catch my pup gnawing at one the other day so I guess I'm not alone!! :laughing:

That sounds REALLY interesting, Jeanette! :thumbsup2 I totally agree with the philosophy as a very similar sort of approach has worked for me. I think it is the hardest part....standing on the scales for the first time:rolleyes1....but it made me feel like I was finaly taking control of my weight!!!!

My friend raves about the Davina DVD.....I'm not sure if you have one, but they do a great range on the Wii....I like EA Games active range:thumbsup2
