Could someone please post the results of the scavenger hunt?

Barry was very curious, since we followed the progress all day during the thrillrides tour.

He especially wanted to know the correct answer to the color of the jeep in the parade at AK.

Thanks. :D

Several of us would really like to know where the license plate for the Dino Diner eally was.
I think some of us nearly turned the darned thing upside down looking for it :)

I guess I will take a shot at answering these questions! Linda and I have about recovered from this event!
There were two Animal Kingdom parade questions concerning the vehicle colors:

In the parade, what color is Minnie's Jeep?
It is red with white polka dots.

In the parade, what color is the Adventure Rover?
It is reddish-orange with yellow splotches.

As far as the Dino Diner is concerned, in its new location, there is no license plate. There used to be a plate on the trailer when it was located over closer to the Boneyard.

Hope this helps!
P.S. You mean you don't want to know where the wooden leg named Smith is?

Oh, yes, James-where the heck is that leg???
We were one of those people turning that Dino DIner upside down looking for a plate!!!!!! It just about drove us nuts!!!!!!!

James, or anyone do you have the whole list of questions & answers that maybe you could scan & post? Also, who was the winner & what was the prize?

Ah, I was hoping someone like Regina would post the results of the DIS-CON Scavenger Hunt, since I don't have all of the answers or the results.
I do know Linda and I won the grand prize! We scored a total of 1315 points.
We won some very nice gifts, which included a bottle of champagne, a 2001 Brave Little Tailor Christmas ornament, and a Mickey triple screen picture frame.
There were other prizes awarded for runner-ups and the best family score.
The hardest question for us was the It's a Small World question. We had to ride the attraction to count the different 'Goodbyes' at the end, and we still got the question wrong! There are supposedly 22 'Goodbyes' in different languages.
We had a lot of fun running around the parks, but we wore ourselves out!

By the way, there is a prosthetic leg stuck in the Lost and Found of the Frontierland Train Station, with the name Smith written on it.

No scavenger hunting during the thrillrides tour next year. I think we lost about one to 1 1/2 hours while people were scavenging and we had to hunt for a few scavengers. :)

Gee, I can't imagine who he's talking about!:smooth:

Ah, the fun of planning a scavenger hunt from NY, and finding out "oh, that's gone. They got rid of it two weeks ago.":( :(

Still not conceding those IASW "goodbye's" are you James??;) ;) ;) There are 6 on the left, 18 on the right.

There were 8 teams who participated. We gave prizes to everyone. It was everything from Disney Christmas ornaments to IASW keychains, AK notecards, beanies, Disney Monopoly game, candy, pens/markers.

I never expected anyone to get that "leg named Smith" question. I'd say that the moderator questions were the biggest challenge.

I'll see if I can dig out the answer sheets. By the time that we ended adding them up, it was 1:30am, and we had to be back for the breakfast presentation at 7:00am.:( :( :( :( I haven't looked at them since.

I've suggested that we try something different next year, like a trivia contest.

Glad you had fun!!

One of my answers was pertaining to the wooden leg - it is located at the lost and found at the train station in fronteirland, at least that was our answer! As for some of the other questions - we are still going crazy trying to guess all of the correct answers - a lot of fun was had by my group but one of us has blisters on her feet and she could barely walk but wouldn't ride in a wheelchair during the rest of our trip! Thanks for teaching us more about WDW and making us become more aware of our surroundings, Regina!

Julie and I came in 4th place!!!! What fun we had!!! - thank goodness I always take the same bag for my walkman whenever I go to WDW - inside there I keep a "Monorail Co-Pilot's
License" that I got about 5 years ago!!!

Good thing you had your comonorail's license! The girls and I tried four different bus drivers for a codriver one, but in the cut backs, this one got axed.

We really wanted to try to catch a ride in the front of the monorail, but at the beginning of our trip I heard a quite rude CM tell a young boy (when he asked to ride in the front) that he could ride for only one stop since people from the Grand Floridian was gripping that they pay $10 grand for their vacation and can't ride up front in the monorail, I decided not to ask. BTW, since when did riding in the front of the monorail become an amenity exclusive to the monorail resorts?

I'm not bashing, just many of us spend $$ at these same resorts on souvenirs, and Character meals and the such. I just felt the CM was very rude and the statement about the 10 grand really got in my craw!!

PS. We LOVE the Disney Monopoly game!!!!!! :)

Gee, Regina, I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to do another Scavenger Hunt next year? ;)

Seriously, wouldn't it be great if the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Play It!" could be rented for a couple of hours for the DIS version. We supply some of the questions relating to the DIS and Forums. You know like....

Where does one eat corn at WDW?

What's often refferred to as a flightless bird leg?

Does Pete exist?

What color was the drinks served in Jellyrolls during DIS-CON I?

Of course, we could do our own at a conference hall or something. Just an idea for Linda... :)
