Hi, Dawn (aka Aussiegirl) here with our next challenge! This is my first time hosting and I'm very excited!

This week's challenge is a themed layout. I want to see where you stayed while on your Disney vacation. This can be photos of your hotel room (we always took photos of hotels we stayed in growing up, and I continue to do so), the lobby, pool area, outside of the hotel. Or your cabin, different areas of the ship, or the outside of the ship if you were on a cruise. If you don't have any photos of the place you called home for the week- scrap about how you got there. This can be plane, car, bus, train, bicycle, walked etc! **The place you stayed at does NOT have to be on Disney property, as long as you stayed there for your Disney trip, it will work!** :)

PRIZES: Alll Participants will get a Mickey alpha by Neverland Scraps.

2 winners will get Playhouse MIni by Neverland Scraps.

Also, for 1 week only, Neverland Scraps has put together a special coupon for the people participating in the DIS challenge and its 50% off all Playhouse products: Kit, Worn and Torn Paper, Alpha and Tidbit Album. This coupon is good at NDISB (Natural Designs in Scrapbooking). **I can't link to the kit today, as the store is having issues, but I'll keep checking and edit when I can!**

This challenge will end at midnight on April 28th, 2009! Have fun, and I can't wait to see this great "guide" of places to stay for our next trip! ;)

Dawn, is it okay if the place we stayed was not on Disney property? I've got wonderful shots of our hotel from our Disneyland stay, but it was down the street. We couldn't afford to stay on site...

Thanks!

Yes, that's perfect! We didn't stay on Disney property either! As long as you stayed there for your Disney trip...it works! :)

Great challenge! Thanks for hosting.

Here's mine of Wilderness Lodge. Most everything is from Birds of a Feather from RetroDiva. Template is by Sine at Scrap Orchard. TFL:

stenogoddess: Wow, that was super quick! :) I love the after dark photo of the pool area/ hotel in the background! Love the natural colors and the rustic type look to your page! Great job, thanks for playing!

JuneBugFL...welcome to our challenges! Glad you could participate! I love the colors you chose, the small castle, and the date alpha! Fun star frame too! Great job! :)

JuneBug: Cute LO, love the castle and the paper. I'm glad you decided to give it a go. I got busy with work and haven't been able to participate. You're going to love it!

Wow, that's very kind of Neverland to be so generous!:goodvibes

Beautiful (and fast!) pages so far girls!

The pics I took in our hotel room are some that I've been putting off scrapping so maybe this will kick me in the butt to get them done. I don't have to make it about the room right? They're in the room but I wanted to make the page about the kids trying to get Daddy out of bed for Disney, lol.

I say, as long as the photos were taken in the Hotel room, that's fine! :) I hope you will be motivated to scrap them by this challenge! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I did this one some time ago so I am not sure it qualifies for the challenge but I wanted to share it anyway. :)

The nautical touches are from PCHugClub "Under the Sea".

I had so many pictures, it was hard to choose. So this one turned into a 2-pager! Fun challenge and thanks for hosting.

Journaling:
When we finally decided to plan our trip to Disney world, Hubby really wanted to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. I didn’t care until I heard about the Christmas decorations in the lobby! We were amazed as we walked into the lobby. It was beautiful. We then checked into our room and peeked out of the window at our amazing view of the pool, gyser and lake. There is such incredible attention to detail, right down to the Mickey heads woven into the rugs. DD enjoyed seeing a new towel animal greet us every day, along with her puppy posed with the remote control watching the Disney Channel. It was nice to hear “Welcome Home” as we began our wonderful vacation.

Yea!!! These were the very next pictures that I needed to scrap - how did you know? LOL! I have no idea why I didn't take any pictures INSIDE our villa though :confused3

I still have to do another LO or 2 for the French Quarter, but I need to narrow down the pics, lol. So I scrapped where we stay during our Spring Training/Disney trip. For some reason, I almost always miss getting a pic of the actual room when we're at Disney. Anywhere else I'm fine, I think I'm just too excited to get to the parks or something, lol.

My DH has learned to let me into a room before anyone else so I can get all the photos I need! It's pretty nice, considering that once the kids are let in the place begins to resemble a pig sty! :rotfl2:

Journaling: We arrived at the Howard Johnson on Harbor Blvd., our home for the next few days on Sunday afternoon, June 29. All the kids cared about was that we were staying at a hotel that had a pool and a game room. The room safe was another fun distraction for them, too - go figure. So for the first few hours we played in the game room and at the pool until Auntie Heather came to join us for dinner and a night out at Downtown Disney. It ended up being about a 20 minute walk from Disneyland's main gate, a bit longer than I would've liked, but the quality of the hotel made up for our aching feet!

Template is a britt-ish design (note to Britt - make more templates! They rule!) :)

I'm not sure where I got those elements from. :(

The big piece of 'paper' is a photo of the bedspread.

here is mine, it spurred me on to finish these pictures.
