DIS-buddy where are you??

I still have not gotten even a "hello, I'm home" from my DIS-Con buddy, Pumbaa/jody . I am sad.

Oh AB.. I am so surprised that you have not heard from Jody..that is just so unlike her...maybe she just got busy with Christmas and family when she got home..

My personal life is not real well. Details I prefer not to go into. Needless to say, the last thing on my mind was DisCon. It is on my list of things to do, just not surfaced to the top yet.

Jody - I hope things get better. I was glad that you were able to make it down to WDW for hugs.

AngieBelle - As I think I've said in another thread, your DIScon buddy idea was great. I helped a few people collect items for their buddies and even took a photograph or two. Every time that I saw someone doing the buddy thing, I thought of you. But I knew that as disorganized as I am, I would never be able to be a proper buddy. Since I had to leave my family at home, I guess that I thought of my kids as my buddies. If you PM me your address, I'd love to make and send you a DIS button (like the ones I made for the folks at DIScon).

I also haven't sent my buddies anything yet! I came home from DISCON and proceeded to be very, very sick. I am just now starting to feel a bit better so I'm hoping to get back on track soon. Right now all I want to do is sleep!

Angie...right after DIS Con people had to rush back and get ready for Christmas and all it entails. I know my DIS COn buddy's package did not go out til this last Monday. I felt bad, but between the Holidays, my kids, home, colds a bad knee and assorted other stuff, it was on the backburner too. I hope he enjoys what he gets from me, but I felt bad I waited so long.

Sorry, Serena! I didn't realize this. Unfortunately, I wasn't around much when the buddy thing was being discussed, and someone asked me if I would do it and I just said yes. Serena is a real peach, and I loved being her buddy, but I wasn't aware that there were requirements of mailing things and such. I do see some people went through a lot of trouble for their buddies, which is really very sweet.

Angie, once DIS Con was over, the pals could do whatever they wanted. Not everyone continued on the correspondence and I think I saw a thread here where Jody was not feeling well during DIS Con. Sorry you were disappointed, but life happens. DIS Con is over, we move on...
