CherylDan - Sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. I'm right there with you on that merry-go-round. Hopefully, the news won't be all bad.
Laurie - Sounds like your DD is quite the socialite! She sounds like my DD when it comes to preparing for these dances. We could find a dress and shoes in under an hour and she always starts out at the sale rack, bless her heart. Not so much of that kind of shopping now that she's in college.
marcij - Have you tried the coconut macaroons yet to help counteract the diarreah? They really do work - they did wonders for me during my first course of chemo. I ate one with every meal I tried to eat and it kept the D at bay. Just make sure they are the fresh baked type, not the cookie type macaroons.
smiley - Happy you got good news about the lymph nodes
Hopefully, things will continue to go well for you.
MaryAnn - I'm sure you're looking forward to that trip!
I had a little scare near the end of my infusion on Friday. Just as the carboplatin was about to finish, I started feeling flushed and my palms were very itchy. I had to get more fluids and it subsided in about twenty minutes. We're not sure what this means for next time. The carbo is being administered through the intraperitoneal port, so I'm wondering what the oncologist is planning for next round of chemo. Other than that, I've been feeling okay. Took my daughter to the batting cages yesterday to help her with her hitting now that she's joined a co-ed softball team at UCF. It's been helpful having her here this weekend. She never fails to keep me entertained!
I hope everyone is having a decent weekend and staying warm!
