Hi there Ladies! Miss you all and hope to get back here more regularly in the New Year. All is basically okay... can't go into any details for other things because of others on the Dis and they don't need to know some things. May PM some of you at another time to fill in but it's all okay as I said.

Are any of you on FB besides our dear WDW4us2?? If so, would love to have you as a friend there.

Going to WDW in just shy of a week for the weekend with . Looking forward to a good weekend.

Rumor is that this coming Monday, my area of FL could be as cold as 18 degrees. Can we say Brrr?! LOL love it though!!! No one ever said to me that FL was the warm state... just the sunshine state.

I wanted to check in with everyone tonight. I, too, am very sad about Elizabeth Edwards and could not believe it was so quick.

Happy to see you back on the boards, Merry. Our DS and his family are leaving Saturday for Disney and I have a feeling they may be a bit chilly. Remember when we met last year Merry and how cold it was! We have about 3 feet of fresh snow here and the temp is 12 degrees tonight and I understand there is another storm coming along on Sunday.

So nice to see you back again Ann. Linda, I hope all is going well and Maryann, it sounds like you are having a nice time. Laurie, I am making an appt. for a massage tomorrow!!!

Just popping in to say hello to everyone. I am still in waiting mode - I go on the 23d for a cystoscopy to see if the treatments have prevented recurrence. High grade bladder tumors have a 70 to 90% incidence of recurrence at the stage mine was at. By doing the treatments I am reducing to risk to the lower end of the scale.

Then if the treatments are working, my reward is three more of them! Maintenance goes on for years. Vigilance is key with this type of cancer.

I was also saddened by Elizabeth Edwards death. I met her on a campaign stop here in New Hampshire and she was a very interesting person to talk with. Even her last posts on Facebook were full of hope.

While in Florida we got an e mail that sweet Alyssa was having headaches all week.

She is now in the hospital in NYC and will be having brain surgery tomm. They have found a growth near the top of her brain. She even posted the mri picture on facebook!

Please pray for this sweet young lady. She just inspires me being both a leukemia and heart transplant survivor in her 20 young years!

Well we are back. Cold was the word of the vacation. Freezing cold. I too was sad to read of Elizabeth. She had such a great strength. I think she said something once that touched me. I dont have the actual quote, it was something like I am not going to let this disease take one more day from me than it already has etc. What an inspiration!!

Sha - I hope you have a wonderful trip. Hope things get worked out for you.

Lisa - I am sure the memorial service was hard for your heart. I am sure waiting to hear from the drs. is nerve wracking also.Sending you lots of Are there any icicles in your pool?

Cheryl - have a great trip and hoping for good news for you.

Barbara and Anne - happy holidays

PatsMom - our limo driver also said he had bladder cancer and is doing well and had the treatments like you did too.

Laurie - you must be feeling fine after that massage. Ready to have a great christmas with your college ones home.

I have been praying so much for sweet Alyssa today. Ds19 might watch their dog tomm. We will see.

Tomm. I am going to the stomach surgeon. We will see what he says. I think it will just be watch and wait. I would really feel better if he would do a ct scan and see what is really in there causing this little problem. He didnt want to last time even when dh asked him etc.

We finally made it home from our Christmas in Boston trip! Our original flight home yesterday was cancelled because of the blizzard conditions in Chicago, but we were able to able to get another flight today. At any rate, we all had a very nice visit with DD & her DH. Did tons of walking all around Boston, and ate way too much! Now I just have to get everything ready for our WDW road trip....we leave this Friday. (Nothing like waiting for the last minute! ) Sure hope it warms up in Orlando before we get there! As for my latest test results....still going with the no news is good news theory. I have another appt. in early January, so I'll get back to thinking about it then - right now I'm just going to enjoy the holidays!

We finally made it home from our Christmas in Boston trip! GREAT news about Alyssa. They got the tumor out easily. They think its a menengioma caused by the radiation from her leukemia, but of course, they must await the biopsy results.

My surgeon visit today is cancelled. He is going to do some emergency surgery this afternoon. Oh well, such is my luck. They did offer for me to see the nurse practicioner but I said no, I will wait for the dr., so now its rescheduled for the 28th. Sorry I dont think I want to spend $30 on the np. I really like her, but the whole point of this viist was to ask him about the ct scan etc.

Hope everyone is healing and I am sure everyone iis in the holiday prep phase. I try not to get caught up in all the busy ness and remember the reason for the season.

Just did 2 disney surveys. They were really for dh but I know all the answers. One was for Hollywood Studios. I complained about the crowds at the Osborne Lights and broken friendships. One was for the Polynesian. I made a few comments about the wheelchair, our room and a server we had at breakfast.

I am going to work on the christmas cards today. Our family picture, is interesting. The ds autistic friend took it. It shows lots of tree limb shadows on our faces but heah such is life. Its real. Next year I told them to do it in church again when they are dressed and all in one place at one time etc.
Dh has left for california and seattle until tues. Over the week end he will see his uncle in the seattle area so that willl be nice. He is like 85. On this 3rd wife too. Sat. I am cooking for church on sun. Sun. ds19 is doing his blood drive and mon. he is dropping off all the food from his psyc class food drive to the mobile food pantry that sets up in the home depot parking lot in our town. Its neat. This is the guy who was called by the Ophrah show, He has such a heart for the people. My stomach has been hurting me alot on and off. I might try to talk ds into taking me for the B12 shot tomm.
