Hi, Everyone!

I haven't posted much, but I lurk a lot and use a bunch of your info. I figured that it was time for me to return the favor.

Is anyone following the WPASADI contest thread over on the Community Board? If you haven't, don't feel alone. There have been TONS of posts regarding the pre-game build-up. We're talking thousands of posts....

Anyway, the DISboards are running a psuedo-survivor type game and the applications are out now.

Here are the links for more info:

Info: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wpasadi.htm

Rules: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wpasadi.htm

PodCast: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/#hm-podcast (They talk about it at the very end)

It sounds like a bunch of fun. I am considering submitting an application, but it sounds pretty time consuming.

Good luck to any/everyone that plays!

Maybe it was another game that got shut down. I believe this one is up and taking applications.

Anyone going to try it?

I applied today- what the heck! Sounds like fun and I've been bored around the house lately. I hope I get 'accepted.' :thumbsup2

i just filled out an application, and I have no clue what the game is all about! ;) I guess I am easily influenced! :lmao:

I applied, too. I finally decided what the heck! Maybe we'll get to play together!

Now we just have to wait to find out if we even get to participate.
:thumbsup2

Even if we don't get to be on a team, we'll automatically be in the 'audience'. There will be prizes just for doing that, too!

Okay, so I applied. Not that I'll get in. I'm not lucky like that... my luck tends to be more along the lines of BAD. :teeth:

hey what number did you pick... i did 8856 ... my kids picked the numbers

I picked 86,001. DH and I were just talking the other day about what his high school football number was and it turned out to be 86. We had a whole discussion about how it was his lucky number and has been since he was a 9th grader. I realized that I never had a lucky number, so I 'borrowed' his. But then, I didn't want to put a jinx on his number by claiming it as my own, so I added a one, changing it as little as possible, but still being different.

 I know, I know....Really weird, huh?

I wish that we got to see what everyones' application said. I'll bet some of them are pretty entertaining!

Who's next? :listen:

I chose number 28,288.

Both my boys were born on the 28th of the month. My DD was born on the 8th.

I did put the Rewards Board down as one of my 3 boards- hope we can all play together!

I signed up as well. Robin, I would love to be on a team with you.

That would ROCK, wouldn't it Jen?

From the sound of it, things can get pretty time intensive. But it has been said several times that we can do it and still have a job and real life. Another things that the guys have said is "The more you put into it, the more you get out of it." I'm assuming that it means if you work hard at this and really put some effort into it, you could win.

There is going to be one 'project' each week and the week will go from a weekday to weekday so that people on vacation can still participate without missing an entire project.
Now, does that answer your question.....of course not! :goodvibes I don't think anyone is entirely sure what this is going to be like. I really wish that they had some definite information, because that is what really made me hesitate. Eventually, I read enough to convince me to try it anyway.

My feeling is, you can't win if you don't play and you can't play if you don't apply. What the heck....go for it! :cheer2:

:offtopic: Not to change the subject, but....

Alice28, what does your tag mean? It sure is eye-catching! I'll bet there is a great story with that one! :teeth:

I *love* my tag- I should have included it with my application to the game- as in, "I have to be in the game, because I have the funniest tag on the DISBoards!" (I used to have 3 really lame, boring tags, and I deleted them- I love my one funny tag in exchange!).

OK, anyway, there was a thread which was called something like, "What is your Captain Underpants name." My 8 year old reads those silly books all the time, so I knew it would be something really goofy- you put your first and last name initials in the Capt Underpants name generator, and that's what I got- Doombah Frickenbutt. So I said, in my post, "I'm Doombah Frickenbutt, nice to meet you." :rotfl2: It still makes me laugh, cause when I acted like a dork, growing up, my dad would always call me a Doombah (some times a Goombah). And unfortunately I have been guilty of saying Fricken- so the name is just perfect for me.

Great story!

Aren't the tags a blast?!? Especially when you know they *really* fit you!

I've met alot of really nice people with an initial conversation regarding my tag or theirs. I know that everyone really can't wait for the first tag, but it is SOOOO much better when the tag fairy hits it right on. (BTW Tag Fairy, You rock!)
She sees everything, so I'd better throw that in!
