Dis Amazing Race - December 2/4 2005

Just as an update on late sign ups. I will accept registrations until 15 minutes before the start of the race. You must register here in Dis by following the instructions in the first post. Any posters to this thread who have not also PM'd me are not registered for the race! When you register, I will also send you the race rules and info. If you do not have this info, you will not be able to complete the race.

It is also important that you sign-in before the race, following the instructions in the race rules. You will be given secret info that will be checked along the way! Only those who are properly registered and signed-in will be eligible for prizes (and of course only those who complete the entire course!)

This will be a lot of fun, and a great chance to get some free stuff. If you haven't signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

Also, it should be mentioned that anyone not officially in the race will be booted from race rooms tonight, even if you are from the dis. So I/we apologize in advance for doing so, but please do not enter race rooms just because the owner is on your friends list, or you will be booted. The race participants will be very easily distinguished from those who are not registered.

Several people crashed the race rooms this week as testing was being done, and they were asked to leave and/or booted. again, sorry for that but we did not want any inside info on the race to get out.

I put this in Friday's race post, but will also mention it here. Anyone who was racing Friday but did not make it to Stage 2 (the Guest Rooms), will be allowed to race again on Sunday.

If this applies to you, and you would like to race again, please let me know by Private Message. You must let me know by 10am Pacific (1pmEastern) on Sunday if you wish to race again.

We will be making some adjustments to the game, so you will not gain an unfair advantage by having raced before. We will also attempt to make the first stage less confusing for people.

At this point, due to the possibility of people from Friday racing, I will only accept stand-by registrations for Sunday. If you have a message from me already, you are confirmed. If you would like your name on the stand-by list, send me a message. At this point it looks like all stand-bys will be able to race, but if the list gets longer, you may be out of luck.

Ok, I wasn't sure when the race would be, so I couldn't make it to the Friday race. But now that I know the time difference for Central time, I can figure out the rest. So my question is: would I be able to join the Sunday race?

For anyone who hasn't seen the final results for both races, they are in post number 1 on this thread.

FinishLinePhil has all the prizes. He will be in his room every evening this week, or until all prizes are accounted for.

If you were planning on donating your prize back (ie. not collecting it), please send me a message to that effect, so that I'm not looking for you.
