We were in Juneau when Gov Palin resigned this summer, maybe it was something we did?

Frankly, my dears, the locals didn't give a damn one way or the other; too busy hawking authentic, made-in-China, Alaskan souveniers.

The Governor didn't answer the door when we came a-knocking for tea either, not very welcoming.

I can attest that US foreigners (Alaskans) are a clean sort. Check out the pristine, lace curtains of the mansion; probably can thank the unionized help for that rolleyes:lame segue as to original thread topic relevance)

I'm thinking said curtains were a cheap, knockoff on Bavarian lace ones, wonder who could verify?

Nah, 7 pages is nothing. NHDisneylover, kaytieeldr and I tend to cover the 'night shift' around here. The Transportation Board has a lot of warm and fuzzy people who like to talk, and that went on for most of the seven. There was some kissing and hugging around page 4, I believe, amongst the regulars.

Page 5 and 6 were really interesting when the scientist types appeared to give us some school lessons. Then the resident PE teacher showed up to mix science with sports.

It was a fascinating thread thus far.

Well, on the Transportation Board, maybe.... Over on the Theme Parks Board however they are not speaking too kindly of Canadian scientists and statisticians!

Oh I read that thread - lots of amusing things happening around here at the moment, just like this thread. Thanks to the transportation board people for being so entertaining! (btw, I walk barefoot in a hotel room, but occasionally wipe my tray on a air plane, not because of the germs, but because I like it to be clean and not sticky or so!)

Well is surprised me. I truly thought people knew a bit more about the current state of the world than that You are absolutely right about the "dirt and smelly" part. TONS of people (all of whom admitted upon questioning that they had never been to Germany) went on about how dirty, or filfthy it is here Even the kids were like, huh? You know I have not been nearly as many place as most people on these boards, but of the places I have been only Switzerland has cleaner public spaces than Germany. Not sanitized, just clean mind you

Most of them probably hadn't. We actaully knew full grown adults in New Hampshire who had never left the state. They lived an hour and a half from Boston but had never been Okay, I know everyone doesn't want to see and do as much as I do, but that so excessivly the other way to me. None the less, some of the parks and beaches in our own little area could be fiflthy in summer time as well

You guys I can have in the past only added one new board to my list every few months. I added transportation after I realized it could be fun inspite of the boring name, thanks to a thread on the Family Board. Don't lure me to themeparks yet

I love how my name always gets dragged into the story.... here I am just minding my own business after getting home from 6+ hours of driving today....... ok, maybe I am a bit fuzzy right now.... PLUS, I lost $40 to the Indian casino up north..... dang it! Definitely not warm or fuzzy!

Haven't you been paying attention?! We are most certainly not warm and fuzzy. Perhaps sticky with a hair on us though I believe we are just exhibting "ability to be carefree and careless" here amid our squalor

Just wanted to let everyone know I just flew JetBlue twice within the last week (to Disney & home). I think pre-flight anxiety about the plane being dirty and germy is far worse than the actual flight. I brought Clorox wipes with me but I didn't use them on the flight because its far easier just to wash my hands (and I'm a pretty big germaphobe). It looks like this thread has gone away from the OP, but I figured I'd drop by and let you know I flew JetBlue and wasn't at all concerned (and didn't notice) any dirt, grime, or germs floating around.
