My parents will be driving up from South Fl. to meet us at WDW. What are the easiest directions to the WL? Thanks!

Once on Disney property, follow the signs to MK. Go through the main toll plaza staying to the far right. Take this side road straight ahead, this road will fork to the right for Ft Wilderness so stay in the straight lane, Wilderness Lodge entrance is on the right.

Thanks suzannews! Should they take the Fl. turnpike to get to WDW?

I would take the FL turnpike to the Osceola Pkwy exit. West on Osceola Pkwy, through a few traffic lights, pay the $1.50 toll. Osceola Pkwy goes right onto Disney property, running past the POP Century resort. Like I said before, once on Disney property, follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom.

Thank you!! That sounds easy enough.

sammie--They live in Ft. Lauderdale

we live is south fla and always take the turnpike up to the osceola parkway and follow signs to disney world and go from there for the signs for the resorts. Its very easy and I have never gotten lost going that way.

I agree with Suza. I live in Ft Lauderdale too. Do they have Sun-Pass by chance? Makes using the tollroads so much faster and cheaper. Especially when coming back from Disney. Had to wait 20mins because the toll plaza was so backed up at Lantana. Now we just zoom through the sun-pass lane.

Couple of things you can tell your parents.

Osceola Pkwy is the second exit after paying the toll. Kissimmee is the first exit. Definitely use Osceola Pkwy. Its a straight shot with only a few traffic lights. Saves you about 30 minutes compared to Kissimmee. Disney is about 10 miles away from this point. Tell them they may want to refuel. Super Wal-mart's gas station is usually the cheapest. Plus if any grocery items need to be bought this is a great place to get them. Can you tell we travel this way much? LOL About 5 times a year. When approaching MK main entrance toll plaza they need to be in the right lane(I think its marked for MK resort guests). Not the furtherest right thats the lane the buses use, once through the toll plaza they will go to the right. (thats why not to be too far to the left) A little fact I did not tell some friends so they had to go through, u turn, and try again, so not to cut across so many lanes.

Quick question How long are your parents going to be there and when? Depending on the amount of days and what time of year they might be better off getting FL Seasonal Pass ($211 each). They are good for 1 yr from day of activation except the blackout dates.

A Seasonal Pass entitles you to admission* to:

Thanks everybody!!

Shirley--We will all be going to WDW later this month. So, I don't think the FL seasonal passes would work for them this time. :(
