Directions to Sweet Tomatoes

Would like to go to the one nearest to DTD. Do you have to go on the highway to get there? Directions, please. We are staying at the Yacht Club. Thanks.

My understanding was that it was within walking distance, i.e. right next to Downtown Disney. The shopping center is called the Crossroads Center, and the address is 12561 S. Apopka-Vineland Road Hwy 535. Unfortunately that's all I know, having only been down there once, but I am looking forward to going back, and Sweet Tomatoes is on my must-eat-at list! You get so tired of fried and sugary foods that this really seems like a great break from the usual! And I heard the prices are great too! I look forward to seeing the directions pop up on here!

When you are taking the exit out of the DTD area (Hotel Plaza Blvd?), just go straight through the intersection in to Crossroads. I think there is a Chevy's and Uno Chicago Grill at the intersection. It is in the Crossroads shopping center, past TGI Friday's.

I guess it could be considered walking distance, but it's not a very short walk from DTD.Also that intersection (535 and Hotel Plaza blvd) is one of the busiest in the area so be careful crossing it on foot,I would just take a car if you have one.

Crossroads is one mile from Downtown Disney so yes from there it is walkable.

From the Yacht Club go out the front drive, take a right, at the traffic light at the corner of Buena Vista Blvd take a left. This is the corner where the Hess gas station is located.

Stay on Buena Vista Blvd, until Downtown Disney. This road will curve and you stay to the right going to Hotel Plaza Blvd, which is where the Hilton is located.

Stay on Hotel Plaza Blvd, straight and across 535/Apopka Vineland into the Crossroads Shopping area.

You will then be able to find it there.

We have eaten there before - at least the one in St. Louis. The salad bar, soups and pasta are excellent. The prices are a little high for a salad bar, but the food is worth it !!!!!!!!!!!!

When I mapped the location on Google Maps, the directions had my going on I-4 to get to it. But in reality, it is in the Cross Roads, which is at the intersection of Hotel Plaza Blvd. and S. Apopka-Vineland Road Hwy 535. So, at the light at the intersection if you are coming from Hotel Plaza Blvd., just go straight into Cross Roads.

Sweet Tomatoes is located in the rear. Keep going straight. There is a sign that will direct you to the location.

And at Crossroads, watch out for the speed bumps. They're more like speed cliffs. Sweet Tomatoes is in the very rear of the plaza on the left.

Sasquash, thanks for the specific driving directions. I did a google map search too and it showed getting on I4 which I don't want to do. I have a good idea where it is.

You are welcome. If you can get around the roads of the great commonwealth of Massachusetts, you should do fine down in Florida.

Agreed, that going I-4 was a ridiculous, circuitous route.

You know - Tom Toms have gotten very affordable. I got a nice new GPS for about $80. It is SO worth it driving around down here. Plus I pack it when I travel for business and I never have to be afraid of getting lost. Totally not what you were asking for - but just friendly advice.

We love Sweet Tomatoes, though. Very worth the drive and easy to get to.

It is more of a salad bar - not a buffet. It does have some soups and pasta, but no meats. Cold grilled chicken can be purchased for an additional charge for a salad; if you prefer. It also has a few different breads along with a small selection of desserts.

It is definitely worth it!!! We can't wait to get there and try it again.
