Hello everyone,

Havig a good day. Just received our DME booklet for our upcoming trip. We are taking US Air for the first time. We have always taken SWA before. I know how to get to DME from SWA with my eyes closed. :rotfl: But, I looked at the map for US Air. It looks so much easier and closer. For some reason, I have a fear that we are going to get lost. :rotfl2: An advice on directions would be greatly appreciated. :flower3:

If you used it with SW just get to the same center location where the hotel is and security check point. Look UP .for the BIG green neon B sign go down 2 fls and you should know where to go next if you've done it with SW. If you don't remember just walk down the hall to the end keeping the car rental counters on your right.

If memory serves me correctly USairways is in terminal B, so you do not have to "cross over" to get to ME. Just follow the signs for baggage claim, go down the stairs or elevators to level 1.
You might be closer to the ME desk coming in at that end of the terminal, but I am not sure.

USAir's side does not come out by the hotel, it's on the other end. USAir's gates are in the 30 to 59 group, see link. SW is in the 100 to 129 group.

After you get off the plane, follow the signs to baggage claim. You will get on a tram to the terminal, pass security, and then go right, you will see a large "B". Take the escalators down to level 1 and follow the signs for DME.

When you enter that main part of the terminal, take an immediate right, before the moving walkways. Go down the escalators to level 1....DME won't be too far away at that point.
I always get confused when I'm flying into that end of the airport. I'm so used to arriving at the other end, that I always get turned around down there.

Thanks, that what I was concerned over. I was afraid I would get mixed up since I don't have to cross the terminal and switch sides. Plus, I am so used to having to take the long walk to DME. I know I will be out of my comfort zone. lol.

Thank you so much for the map!! When I look at the map I understand where I am used to going and where I will have to go this time. With the directions from Goofyfortink and the map I am much more comfprtable now. Once I hit the walking stairway I know how to get to DME but, I just didn't want to go all the way to the hotel and back again if I didn't have to.

And the funny thing is that when I fly in, it's usually into gate area 100-129 or 60-99...and I usually just cross over to Side B down there, and take those escalators/elevators down to level 1 and make the long trek down from that far end. I never go the length of the terminal up on level 3. Habit is a funny thing.

That is the same way I am used to going. It was years before I realized they had shops and a big food court with a Chick-Fil-A. On the way home now I always stop at the big food court for a meal.
