Directions from Dis-->UO

So we are planning on staying at a Disney hotel and visiting Universal for a couple of days. I looked into the transportation and figured that $15 parking fee would be better than $18 per person, right? I glanced over the sticky thread about the transportation, but didn't see any directions, if we drive ourselves. And we're staying at the All-Star resorts if that helps..

What is your question? Directions? Or are you asking for opinions on renting a car vs. some other transportation option? Do you have your own car?

Directions, please? I haven't been able to find them, and Google Maps is terrible!

Follow signs from All Star Resort to I-4, take I-4 east to exit 75A, turn left at end of ramp, Universal parking garage is just ahead on the right.

I have to say that I really think almost all of Florida, at least the heavily touristy areas, is very well marked!! It's really hard to get lost down there!!!

Directions are pretty simple.

From Disney, Take I-4 "east"... towards orlando. You'll see the signs for Universal's exit a few miles down the road. I forget the exit number, and sometimes they'll route you differently depending on traffic... but generally I take the exit immediately following the Sand Lake Rd. exit.


You can also go the "back way" using surface Streets. Exit Disney using the DTD exit onto 535 by the Crossroads. make a Left at the light. At the next light, turn right onto palm Parkway. This road will change names to Turkey Lake... pass a walmart, etc. After you cross over Sand Lake, You will make a right at the light at Hollywood Way. There will also be a sign telling you to turn there for Universal. The road will take you the parking area for the park.
