Direct vs resale question

Let's say you have 200 points that you purchase today resale for AK. Restrictions mean that you can't use them for Riviera or any future DVC resorts that are built. If you were to purchase 100 points direct from Disney for AK, can you then book at Riviera with all of your 300 points? Or can you only use the 100 direct points there?

It’s the points that carry the restrictions and not the owner.

The online site lets you search and even choose RIV, but when you go to book, only the direct contract would come up for use.

As long as you currently only need 50% of your next year points to borrow. Unless they lift the max borrowing rule.
