We just purchased some direct points this month with the card and were thinking we would utilize the 6 months no interest offer, but I don't see any way to indicate that online - is it just automatic or do I need to call and let them know?

It is automatic and on your billing statement you will see an interest saver amount that needs to be payed each month if you put other charges on the card besides the DVC points to maintain the 0% interest. It’s a very nice perk.

Thanks - the DVC is the only thing we are putting on it (bought it specifically for DVC and for in-park use), it just feels really weird not to pay it and I wanted to make sure I wasn't about to get charged 16% interest or whatever crazy amount it is!

I know exactly what you mean because we pay off our CCs in full every month too.

I did this with a 100 pt OKW. I got 6, then 7, then 8 months on partial balance by structuring payment. 1st put a down payment. Then at 30 days pay 1/2 the balance. Then 15 days later (after the billing cycle ran one more time) pay the other half.

When you get your first statement, you'll see the breakdown of the various interest rates with the balances. In your case, if you have only used it for this DVC purchase, then you'll see the balance just in that "promotional" tier. It will also tell you the date the promotion ends so that you know exactly when you need to have it paid in full to avoid interest charges. My statement cut off is the 12th of the month and ended up adding a small direct contract 5 days later. I ended up getting nearly 7 months of 0%, because it didn't kick in until the statement period ended at the end of that billing cycle. I paid it off earlier than that, but it was nice to have a cushion.
