Hi all,

We're looking to spend the last two weeks in August 2014 at the world.

I'm waiting for the return flights to open up but all the direct flights in August are really expensive, around £1200 each. I know going indirect is much cheaper but lovely wife always needs persuading to go to Disney again and changing planes is not going to fly.

I know that no-one can say what is likely to happen but what is everyone's opinion, should I book as soon as they open in case they go up or wait in case they go down ?

Thanks for your opinions,

Liam

August rules are as follows,

Decide what you can afford and are prepared to pay for flights.Keep looking three four, even five times every day, and when you see that price, book it and don't look again;)

Our budget for next August is £850pp. Ideally we want to fly VA,im not holding my breath, I think the best bet will be the Christmas sale.I kept an eye on this August prices and I seem to remember the sale prices and mid February being one of the cheapest times to buy.
Gook luck:thumbsup2

Personally I would not pay £1200 for an economy seat. last time I flew business class in August I only paid £1,275.
Last few years we have done indirect or used some airmiles to to get discounted direct flights.
Thankfully this year was our last August trip, next year we are looking at Jan, Jun & Sept. Jan & Jun are already available under £500 direct:woohoo:

This August we flew indirect thru Dublin with Aer Lingus, its probably the next best way after direct due to Immigration in Dublin, once you arrive in orlando you collect luggage and leave. Similar to indirect via a US hub but you don't collect luggage and its a faster route than going via somewhere like Chicago, we paid about £650, almost half direct price.

Have you tried flythomascook, they now fly to MCO from Manchester and are much cheaper than Virgin. :thumbsup2
