direct flights halifax to orlando

anyone have a list of airlines that offer direct flights from halifax to orlando in march?????? any deals last year?

Air Canada and Westjet fly direct from Halifax to Orlando in March on certain days. Air Transat used to but so far this year I haven't seen any flight from Halifax to Orlando with Air Transat. There usually isn't much for deals in March as it is one of the busiest times. All I can tell you is just keep checking their websites and see if anything comes up.

If you can't get a direct flight and have a choice of how you make the connection, try getting one of the US carriers direct to Newark or something like that, then the connection to Orlando. Then you can pre-clear customs in Halifax, and the prices are usually lower, even if it's a codeshare. (The US carriers charge lower taxes and fees generally, besides having slightly lower prices for similar routings.)

We did direct with AirTransat last year, good prices and times. We did Westjet 2 years ago, again direct. Usually wait for a seatale, but not always available.

We've flown direct with Westjet a few times but I don't think they release those flights until later in the fall. I know we were already booked when the direct flights became available and we were able to change. It seems like it may have been around November for the March flights. Keep checking.

Yah it's just WestJet, Air Canada and CanJet/Air Tansat. Usually you can jet CanJet's website and they'll say something about flying for Air Transat on so-and-so dates. If you check the transatholidays.com website they'll show the flights when they're available. The regular airtransat.com website usually doesn't show them.
We've had out direct AC flights booked for March a few months ago. Unfortunately they WERE at 3pm to Orlando, but now they're at 6:30am. Ick.

Actually, for our last 4 trips to WDW we've flown off season twice. All 4 trips have been with Air Transat.

As mentioned, you can check their flights through transatholidays.com, not airtransat.com. They usually charter Canjet for the direct flights into Orlando.

actually i called airtransat yesterday. this year halifax t st pete's and fort lauderdale no orlando. for flights only so now i am down to watching air canada and west jet which are realllllllllly high

Keep watching, there could be direct with Transat Holidays released at the end of this month or early next. Why would they discontinue this flight, ours have always been full.

I find that one hard to believe; I'm hoping they just mentioned that because those flights "aren't in the system yet" but St. Pete's and Ft. Lauderdale are.. I would guess the Orlando flights are fairly high value since they are almost always full. My guess is that the announcement will be made in the fall, or they'll just start showing Orlando as a destination on their website.

My dh knows somebody that works for Airtransat and he told him that the direct to Orlando flights will not be in the system until the very end of August.

From our past experience, that's what we've seen as well. In fact, our travel agent was quite surprised they were so late entering the flights into their system for a previous trip of ours, so it's someting that has been going on for some time.

flights are posted now. Saturday only. We liked the leave on Wed., return on Sat. Prices are quite high, not sure if they ever have seat sales.

Air Canada has a sale on direct flights from Halifax-Orlando on Thursdays in March for 502.00 plus tax. I just booked my flights for 605.00 total which isn't too bad. Now I can relax no more searching for flights.
