Direct Buy vs. Resale - Is this just the first step?

Just curious as to what's going on at the DVC store? Have you noticed a rush on purchases (or new listings) to get them completed by Mar 20? I'm still considering resale, but is it even possible to get something done by Mar 20? What do you guys expect to happen to resale prices? Just curious.... ~CD

The day that I heard about the announcement, a resale contract for BCV (which I was looking for) in my UY came up. My first question to my Timeshare store rep (who was already working on a VWL contract (in ROFR)for me) was can we close before the deadline and he said "yes". That was yesterday and I received another email today assuring me that we would close before the 20th of March.

These were both planned add ons for me, although I took a 200 point contract at BCV instead of the desired 100-150. Since we just received money on a refinance loan (that we have been working on for over 7 months) we have some extra discretionary cash at our disposal. However if these two contracts come through, we'll be staying home for dinner when not on vacation for the forseeable future, and I won't be buying any new clothes or other discretionary items for quite some time!

That was you....good for you I thought about it for a moment then decided my next DVC purchase will be at the Poly. Looks like I will have to wait a while.
