direct Bus Service from SSR or VWL?

Hello

Is there a dedicated bus service from SSR or VWL that goes to MK or Epcot? I know there is a boat that goes from VWL to MK.

I guess does the bus from SSR go to Downtown Disney where you connect to another bus to take you to the parks? I know it is about a 20 minute ride, but was wondering if one would have to switch (transfer) bus to get from point A to point B. Also is it easy to find the bus at the park for the trip back to the Villa?

The buses from SSR go to the parks directly - no transferring at DTD required. There actually are NO buses to the parks from DTD, in fact. Buses from DTD only go to resort, not the parks

Same with VWL - they have buses to each park.

All Disney resorts (DVC included) have bus, boat or monorail service to all theme parks, no transfers required.

From SSR, there are direct buses to all 4 parks, the water parks, and DTD. You can also walk or take a boat to DTD.

From VWL, you have a choice of bus or boat service to MK. There is bus service to all other theme parks, water parks, and DTD.

The TL bus stops at DTD first before stopping at TL. The BB bus stops at AK after stopping at BB.

For the record, "direct" means you don't have to switch busses. VWL shares bus service with other resorts so you will probably have to swing by FW or the Poly on the way to or from any of the parks.

Also, I'm not 100% sure that the bus runs from VWL to MK all year round. With the boat transportation I thought they only used the bus service during peak occupancy times for WL/VWL. They may have changed that to full time bus service though.

When we stayed at VWL last September we had a bus to MK that didn't stop anywhere else! It was wonderful - 5 minutes from pick-up to drop-off, we loved it!

I commented about it to a CM at the Concierge desk and she stated that it would be a daily thing from that point, always subject to change! She said that they had added the bus during "peak" season to help the boats out and had received so many positive comments that Disney Transportation decided to leave it even when the "peak" season was done.

Sure hope it stays! The buses to other Disney destinations did stop at the Poly and GF and it really seemed to add to the travel time.
