I've searched many different websites but cannot find any confirmation on whether or not there is direct bus service from Blizzard Beach to Typhoon Lagoon. We are hopping from one waterpark to the other and hope to avoid transferring at a resort if possible.

If anyone can enlighten me that would be great. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. That is a bummer though.

So would transferring at Downtown Disney be the best option for traveling from BB to TL? Or would it be faster to transfer at another stop or resort maybe?

I don't think so either. Either from Downtown Disney or the Ticket center, I believe. Or the hotels actually a good question.

You are aware that you will be using 2 of your water park extras to hop to the other water park?

Do Blizzard Beach buses stop at Downtown Disney? I thought the Animal Kingdom buses from the individual resorts include a stop at Blizzard Beach, and the Downtown Disney buses include a stop at Typhoon Lagoon.

Also, I don't know if the OP is aware that 'hopping' doesn't generally extend to the water parks. Some tickets (i.e. water parks annual pass) let you go to both parks on a single day - but with the water parks fun & more option added to Magic Your Way tickets, each water park requires the use of a separate admission.

There isn't a direct bus service - you'd definitely have to go to a resort or DTD first (I'd pick the resort since DTD actually has multiple stops).

The following link provides a transportation wizard that allows you to type in the two destinations you are traveling between and will give you the recommended options for the trip:

Thanks for the help everyone. I am aware that visiting the 2 the parks in the same day will use 2 of my extras. No problem, it's all part of the plan. Good looking out though. :thanks:

Mysparky, that's a pretty cool transportation tool you link to. Thanks. The advise it gives is to transfer at Old Key West Resort. That seems to make sense to me since OKW is right near TL. With an expected total travel time of 41min. though, it sure makes me wish that I had a car like we usually do.

Liltx that's great idea! I just looked into it and the trip by taxi would cost about $9.75. That's nothing compared to the time and hassle we'll save. I don't know why, but for some reason my brain never thought to use a taxi on WDW property. It must be all of the marketing telling me what a great benefit resort transportation is. LOL! Thanks again.

Just be careful though, I have heard reports of some of the cab companies being on the shady side regarding their charges. The one that I have heard that is consistently reliable is Yellow Cab. I've not used others, but have not heard good reports...some people stating they were overcharged or add on costs  the Hotel's front desk can give you the # to Yellow Cab, that's where we got ours. Have a great trip.

How did you find the taxi cost? Is there a website that gives disney distances and taxi costs? Please share :)

Thanks! Sheli

I'd be happy to share!...

Mousesavers dot com had a link on their transportation page that pointed me to this Disney World taxi rate estimator for Yellow Cab Company, Checker Cab Company and City Cab Company brands. You just enter your destinations a voila...you get your rate. Not all of the Disney property locations are listed, but if you pick something close enough, you'll at least have an idea.

Taxi fare to get all the way across the Disney property shouldn't exceed $20 plus tip. Like stitchlovestink said though, you have to watch out for "gypsy" cabs that will overcharge. The yellow cab companies I mentioned above are all metered and safe , but I would still confirm the expected fare with the cab driver before getting into a cab.

For years we never used a taxi , and like you never even thought to do so. I forget what happen on one f our trips that we NEEDED to use one and since we've been like DUH. We guess at cost for cab and time on bus and make choice based on that. Usually between resorts we cab it then bus for parks and such.
