Direct add-on with joint ownership

Hi everyone,
My parents and I are looking at purchasing our first contract resale. I just wanted to know if I would be able to purchase add on point direct from Disney in my name individually if my original resale is in joint names?

They would be separate memberships and thus your purchase would be subject to new member minimums.
