In the process of buying our first resort, SSR resale. We bought there because we love the quietness of the resort, the 11 month jump on the treehouses (I am hoping the refurb there will be just as good as the resort rooms), and cheap SAP when needed.
UNREAL how fast addonitis happens. It took us YEARS to finally buy in after weighing so many pros and cons. We want a 60-75 direct purchase contract to give us 7 month bookings at newer resorts.

So, which one? It’s between Riveria, the new Disneyland Villas, and Poly2. I would sway heavily to Riveria if pricing drops once DLV is released. Although, I kind of love the idea of having advantage at 11 month in Disneyland with GCV being so hard to get. Then of course, Poly2 as we already love the Polynesian. Or is the likely resale restriction at all these resorts a hard stop? I would probably do two 30 point contracts to make reselling one easier.

I don’t think they’ll sell you 30 point contracts at Riviera and I’d be surprised if they do at VDH. So that would make your choice for you if that’s what you feel you need to do.

I’d suggest a 60 point contract will be extremely easy to sell, especially for Riviera or VDH, and you probably don’t have to divide them.

Poly 2 is going to be a while still.

You’re absolutely right! Thank you!

Are split stays going to work for you? 60-75 points will not go very far at Riviera, and probably not very far at Poly2.

We love split stays! We just did SSR, AKL, and BWV for my sons fifth birthday. We normally have a rental car so that helps.

I agree with you about Poly2, I cannot wait to see that points chart.
