Dinr with shamu

How did you book it? Usually you select the time online when you book or they tell you when you call.

I booked online, it said for dinner to check in at the reservation station at 3 and then they will tell you your dinner time. Hope that helps. :)

I booked on the phone with an agent and she told me to check in while at Sea world and they will give you the time then.

We just dined with Shamu 2 weeks ago...you can get the time at the guest relations area when you enter the park, near the entrance. I think it may have also been printed on the park map/show times guide for the day as well. You'll love it! Food was good and it was fun to see more of Shamu!!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a related question. We're doing the Dine With Shamu at the end of August, but we would also love to eat at Sharks Underwater Grill.

When we do WDW, we usually do 2 sit down restaurants since they deal with DW's food allergies much better than the CS places do. However, we know what times and can usually space them out as an early lunch and a late dinner. Do you think if we book one of the early lunch seatings at Sharks (around 11:30 am) we'd be alright for Dine With Shamu at the mystery time? If DWS is 5:00 or so, we'd probably be OK, even if we'd be eating little less than normal. But if "dinner" is at 3:00-3:30, there's no way we'd be ready to eat.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

This is from the SeaWorld website:

Reservation times are based on the daily show schedule and will be assigned on the day of your visit.
•Lunch start time can be between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Check in at the Information & Reservations Counter by 11:00am to receive your dining time.

•Dinner start time can be between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Check in at the Information & Reservations Counter by 3:00pm to receive your dining time.

Hope that helps!

Easter sunday it was at 5:30, I called a day or two in advance to ask because I didn't want to eat lunch then have dinner with Shamu too early, I was able to find out the time by phone instead of asking at Guest Relations when I arrived at the park. We ended up eating a later breakfast, shared snacks about 2pm and dinner was at 5:30, it was very good (2nd time there in 6 months) and we had time to let the kids play in the kids area before being seated for the night Shamu show (park was open until 10pm)

The park is only open until 7:00 when we're there, so I'm guessing dinner will start earlier rather than later. I think we'll skip Sharks this trip.

Thanks for your help!

When I went on October the park closed at 6, dinner was at 5 and once our meal and whale encounter was done we left the park after it was basically closed, there were staff members at each turn we would make to leave the park (only one way out at that time) to direct us towards the front gate, I think the main gift shop emporium was open then as was the photo booth.

Hope that helps some, but the Shark Encounter is on my next Seaworld to do list!
