Dinosuar

It was the jerkiness of the ride that bothered my 6 & 10 year old kids. I had prepared them for the scary dinosaurs and given the speech about it all being pretend and if they were scared close their eyes, etc. But the ride itself was worse than any snarling dinosaur! :earseek: My DH have me "the look" for the rest of the day for taking him on that ride. The kids OTOH both say they want to ride it again this summer!

I have never been on it and I'm trying to decide.

It's not a rollercoaster. It's jeep-type vehicle on a track that jerks you around. There may be a few dips and curves in the track, but it's nothing like a "drop" you would experience on a roller coaster or log flume.

OMG!!! I was scared out of my wits!! It was sooooo dark and LOUD! It might be good for the 10 year old, they'll think its cool. I'll never go on it again--lol

I agree about the loudness! In fact, when I go back next week I'm bringing ear plugs to AK just for that purpose! ::yes::

but isn't it a moot thing to do? Maybe earplugs will help tone the decibel level down better. :teeth:

My 8 year old son absolutely loved this ride. We had taken him when he was a couple of years younger but he didn't meet the height requirement. Needless to say he was a bit upset. Anyway, when we took him last year we went straight to this ride and he had a ball. In fact, I think we did it twice.

There are no drops. Trust me, I hate drops. It may dip here and there. But, it is more of a jerk than anything. Don't worry at all about that aspect of it.

It depends on the person. My 6 yo son and wife were terrified while my 8 yo daughter loved it.

I'm going to ride it, I can't wait! Well hopefully if these back exercise's produce any results. Good to hear you don't think it's as wild as Indy, JellyDisney :D ! Now I think it's time you go pack, I just spied your counter and whoops, your almost there already :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc !
Have fun

LOL! I was completely confused by your post, until I realized I wrote "eye plugs" instead of "ear plugs"!! Haha, I corrected it! Eye plugs, ouchhhh!

And not time to pack just yet! I have to do laundry first!

The first time I rode this it scared me to death! (I was 28, btw!) My boyfriend and I looked at each other when it was done, and he said, "Did you like it?" and I said, "I don't know! Did you?" He said, "I don't know!" Since then I've been on it a few times and I love it, but it's really a frightening ride, IMO! I'm always surprised at how passionately people rant about how scary Alien Encounter is and yet I rarely see anything like that about Dinosaur. But they're similar in the way they really put you in the middle of things.

As far as the ride part of it goes, it is fast at times, but there are no drops and the jerking is smooth, calculated jerking. My mom has back problems and does fine on this one. I find myself sort of bracing with my feet against the angled platform on the ground, and I think it's one of the more comfortable rides. But scary! :) In a good way!

I was terrified (I was 24 when I rode it). I didn't hardly open my eyes through the whole thing, and just remembering jerking around alot. My husband realyl enjoyed it, though, as did other people. Just not my thing, I dont like scary things at all.

Really depends on the kid... er, person =)

I don't think I got to ride this, my girlfriend is a bit nervous of fast or scary rides, bless her :)

Ellen's Energy Adventure is about as racey as a tricycle and STILL has dinosaurs :D

Do that ;)

neither husband or I thought it was scary, just rough.

DD liked it at 4 1/2, but then again she loves dinosaurs.
