It's not a roller coaster. You are in a car that doesn't leave the ground but it's very bumpy with lots of jerky movements. You will get thrown around!

It's not a roller coaster, and there are no drops, but it's very jerky and kind of tosses you around a bit. It's also quite dark and loud.

In a car driving brought the Cretaceous period. Lots of dinosaurs and bumps, speed, and jerks. It's a great ride. Definitely one of my favorite things to do at AK. I can't got to AK and not ride it

It is a very intense ride. Very scary for small children. I rode it a few years back and felt so bad for the little boy behind us. He was crying hysterically and I was quite frightened myself!!
I ride it every year, but last year was the first time I rode the whole way through with my eyes open Im 47

I ALWAYS manage to get stuck in an outside seat. And no matter how much I'm prepared, the big dino always manages to scare me. LOL

...and I'm the opposite. I prefer an outside seat...can get better leverage with feet and hands. My main advice on this one is for those with neck and back problems to take the disclaimer seriously.

Its dark, loud and jerky... worst of all... you are being chased by dinosaurs....

I will never ever ride this again, and I am a HUGE Roller coaster junkie

Just make sure that an adult rides this BEFORE taking any young children!!!

We love this ride - but it definitely is one that can be scary to young kids! I agree with PPs, I don't even like sitting on the outside.....but, I can't get one of my kids to switch seats with me! LOL

I personally don't find the ride scary at all..I find it fun. But there have been a few times where I've seen children scared and it makes me chuckle lol.

It can scare some kids, but then other kids are perfectly fine. It's dark, bumpy, there's dinosaurs (One of which looks like it's chasing you but some people don't see it), and sometimes loud. If you're kid would be into that, then definitely do it.

While I agree with everyone's statements, it's still one of our favorites. HOWEVER, I bring a pair of earplugs just to wear on this ride!

Do they still take your picture during the ride? I have the picture and I'm screaming with my hand by my face and it looks like I'm picking my nose! Lol!!!
