DINOSAUR!: How BUMPY is this ride on a scale of 1-5? Do you need a mouth guard???

I heard this ride is VERY bumpy- just how bumpy is it?

do you need a MOUTH GUARD it's so bumpy?? or u r not going to bounce that much.

Hmm...well, you can probably get along without the mouth guard but it is pretty darn bumpy! I gave it a 4 since I figured the mouth guard ride would be a 5.

Beware...it's also REALLY loud!

The noise level is dangerously high. As a sound-dude, I'm amazed how Disney can approve that level of loudness.

It's seriously bumpy but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone breaking their teeth on it...

Bumpy-- yes. But there are no rides at Disney that are going to require you to wear protective gear.

We gave it a four but to be honest we have never even considered needing a mouth guard.

It is very bumpy! But very fun!

And yes VERY loud!!!

I swear the first time we rode this ride it was not THAT loud...they had to have bumped up the volume. It is insanely loud!!
My son (6, but 5 the last time we were there)will ride anything, including TOT, but not this one again, just b/c of the noise!

No, you won't need a mouthguard. It is bumpy, but there are bars to hold onto so it doesn't throw you around.
It is very very loud though. Granted, not as loud as when it first opened - I heard that they lightened up the ride a little after the move Dinosaur came out since so many kids would want to ride & see the characters from the movie. I agree, it doesn't seem as intense as the first year it opened, but still loud enough that you may instinctivly cover your ears at some portions.

It is not horrible, but it is jerky and bumpy. I don't think you need a mouthguard, it's not that bad but if you have a very bad back, you might want to pass it up .

If you have kids, keep in mind that this ride is dark and quite scary in parts.

just as an FYI - my hubby and I had a great time on the ride, but my sons - 6 and 7 - were pretty much terrified and don't want to go anywhere near it again! They love most rides - but this one is pretty intense!

Its no bumpy enough to need a guard.. i agree it is loud as heck though... seriously sometimes i think the levels are peaking in the red and about to blow the speaker...

Way too loud and really pretty jerky. I have to be careful because of my lower back on that one. I have really gotten thrown and banged around on it. Mouthguard? Well, probably not but it is bumpy/jerky!!

I know I remember a post before our May 2003 trip where someone had bumped their mouth and/or nose on this ride. I think they ended up with a bloody nose. I'm positive on this becuase I remember being very cautious on this ride due to that post! I even told my DH and kids. Not that there's much you can do because you can't see in the dark to prepare for the bumps.

I gave it a 4 on your scale. It's herky-jerky, but my kids like it.

I was really concerned about this ride previous to our trip because of the boards. My family is definintely ride weenies (any of the mountains - no way) so I was worried.

However, my DS loves dinosaurs so we decided to give it a go. We were plesently suprised and enjoyed the ride.

It is noisy, jerky, dark, and could be scarry for little ones but we enjoyed it.

Tee Hee.. I made a fool of myself on this ride.

I don't remember the noise that much though. but boy was I surprised at how scary it was, and I LOVE thrill.. lol.. The pic that was taken has me curled in a ball where the big Dino roars at you.. I was NOT expecting it, and I was on the right side where it pops out........ I want to go again.... LOL
