Dinosaur FP+ was modified?

I had an original FP for Dinosaur for the 21st of October and I've been informed there has been change and it isn't available any longer. Now I have FP for Primeval Whirl. What happened?? Can i still attempt to get a FP for Dinosaur??

You may be able to check for something later in your stay. What time of day was your original Dinosaur FP return time?

The substitution of your FP likely means Dinosaur will not be open on the 21st.

Dinosaur's refurbishment was extended so it won't be open on that date anymore.

I had a fp for Dinosaur on 11/12 and just recried notice that it has been changed to Primeval Whirl also.

OMG! Was just coming here to check on any issues. This morning I had FP for Dinosaur and now I've got freaking PW for 10/29. They just changed it and I didn't get any notification. ***!
Glad I'm not alone in this.

Just checked 10 minutes ago when I first saw this thread, and our FP+ for Dinosaur on 11/13 was still there.

It was just changed to PW a few minutes ago, and a notification has appeared in my MDE.

Does anyone have a link to the new refurbishment schedule?

I had an 11/13 Dino FP+ too! Just got the email alert 20 min ago that is was cancelled. It's my twin sister's fave ride. She'll be disappointed eep.

The latest date for a reported FP substitution is now 11/17.

Just talked to a CM on the phone who says it's extended to 11/20. Our 11/3 FP is now extinct. RIP.

Closed through. Reopens 11/21. I was expecting a few days extra but dang, what're they doing to it that's gonna take over another month?

Yeah, I just got notification as well that they cancelled my FP+ for Dinosaur on Nov 14. So bummed, that's the only ride I really wanted for Animal Kingdom.

Yet another last minute change by Disney to our late October trip...Got the email that they had changed our FP and immediately came here for actual info on why it had been cancelled.

Vent time: I am sick and tired of Disney changing plans with weeks to go before our vacation. I understand that some things are unavoidable, and if it was just an extension to the Dinosaur refurb, I would accept it and file it under "stuff happens". But this, plus RnR, plus the uncertainty surrounding a ROL opening, plus the relatively last-minute departure of MSEP...I will definitely be voicing these concerns to Disney.

I'm hoping to secure ADR for my evenings at Hollywood Studios but am still waiting for the Star Wars schedule. It's 30 days away and still no dates Fortunately I have hopper so at least I can change days if I have to, but still frustrating.

We started planning on August 10th-ish seriously and in that time: ROL is a ? (though it has been for some time), Dinosaur just got extended, RnR got shut down, MSEP died, Stitch moving to seasonal, the Star Wars Fireworks have been up in the air all over the place and I intend to make sure we see those for my husband, times have changed six times (and not just like half hour changes- I mean -wildly-) and we're going October 30th. They STILL don't have an opening date for Sassagoula Floatworks though they are still serving the beignets my buddy cares about at another place there- but "fall" isn't really acceptable when they actually mean "thanksgiving or later". Just say thanksgiving or later. It's a mess down there with them being all over the place and yeah- I've already filed several complaints. I realize things go down suddenly and whatnot and time periods change, but there just seems to be -so many- this year. I know other folks have worked through worse. But jeez.
