We could not help to notice that at most of the breakfast buffets most if not all of the meat is pork. My husband can not eat pork due to health trouble. I know people with certain allergies can request special things, but will they help with an issue like this. When we ate at the Cyrstal palace there was not alot for him to eat. Next tiem will they be able to help us out more ( like have turkey bacon or some other tyoe of meat for him)? TIA.

In post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread, there is information about how to contact WDW for special diet needs. I would suggest you contact them to have his needs addressed. They are not required to provide alternatives, but often do with advanced notice (in your case they would need advance notice since turkey bacon would not be on their usual product inventory). At the very least, the chef will run through the items in the buffet with you and let you know which ones are pork free.
Because many people avoid pork for religious reasons and some are vegetarian, you may find that pork or pork free items, asking which items are pork free is probably not an uncommon request.

An awful lot of visitors to Disney don't eat pork for religious reasons. I cannot believe Disney does not cater for them. I am sure there must be pork free alternatives at all meals.

I'm a vegetarian, and can always find something to eat at the Disney restaurants. In fact, all Disney-run CS and TS locations offer at least one vegetarian option, even if it isn't marked on the menu.

As others have said, there will be many other Guests who avoid pork, so I'm sure it's something they're used to catering for. If you contact Brenda Bennett - Brenda.Bennett@disney.com - she should be able to give you plenty of information (this e-mail address is also in the FAQ thread, post 3, as Sue said). I assume you're fairly used to dealing with these dietery issues, but don't forget that some food is fried in pork fat, or may contain pork geletin (I don't know how sensitive he is to these quantities of the meat).

Good luck, and have a great trip! :thumbsup2

I don't eat pork either. I load up on Mickey head waffles and cinammon buns, yum!!!

My MIL is extreemly allergic to pork products and we have notified WDW when making reservations and each time we went somewhere, a chef came out to assist. they were very good about it.

One place (I believe Crystal Palace) made her turkey bacon.

Thanks all. He hubby like to have meat with his meals, but it was very hard when we got there that morning and EVERTHING was pork. I will be calling Brenda before our next trip and find out waht they can do. He tries to avoid things hat have coem in contact with pork as eating it will often cause him discomfort. Thanks again.

I can't eat pork either because I'm intollerant. At Pop, they had delicious turkey bacon. 1900 PF had some amazing chicken or turkey (can't remember which but it was poultry) blueberry sausage links. I would think that all the resort food courts would have the same turkey bacon as Pop. If you give them advanced notice, they'll order it in for you if they don't have it. The chef at Pop also told me he has turkey sausage but that's patties. It would work really well for omellets I would think. I loved the bacon so I stuck with that. There are probably beef options too but I can't have beef either so I can't tell you about that.

Chefs will treat this as an allergy if you tell them it's an allergy. They will prepare his food in a special area of the kitchen designated for food allergies to ensure no cross contamination.

Contacting Brenda is the best way to start.
