I am new to the Disney experience and am taking the plunge this December with the family.
Last year we were at downtown Disney for an afternoon and I we took the boat ride from the launch by the Cirque show to the launch by the Rain Forest Café. The kids thought this was the greatest (I enjoyed it to as it was free).
This year we are staying off site for 10 days and wanted to experience more of Disney.
My understanding is that people are allowed access to the Disney resorts even if they are not staying there granted they are dinning at one of the resorts restaurants. (please correct me if this is not true).
That being said I would like to take the family via boat (if possible) from Downtown Disney to one of the resorts for dinner.
Which resorts are accessible via boat from Downtown Disney and what restaurants would you recommend at these resorts.
