Ok so I know I'm being stupid I have adr's for a lot of places and my wife asked me if I'm going to hoop Dee Doo and I said no I can't see going to that solo and as I think about it I don't know why that's the only place I can't see going solo what are your thoughts FYI
I'm eating at a sit down 8 days out of 10 and don't have a prob eating solo

I am going solo again in a few more days. My rule of thumb is, I have no problem eating solo at TS meals but I just don't see myself doing character meals or shows just by myself. That for me is just a tad uncomfortable. Just my two cents.

I was actually just thinking about HDDR solo. I'm not sure I'd do it. I've done TS & plenty of QS solo with no issues. I'll be trying Tusker House solo soon & have heard good things about that experience.

Yea I have tusker house also I have buffet sit down I even have one character dining but for some reason I just don't feel comfortable doing hddr

I've never done HDDR solo but I have dined solo at the world. I would go for it. lol, IMO "solo" dining is sort of a misnomer. every time I've had a reservation for one, I've ended up talking/engaging with the people around me that it never seemed uncomfortable.

If you have Tusker House and another character dining, you have TWO! :)

Character dining solo is AWESOME!!! I can honestly say I've never had a bad character dining experience on any solo trip. There is always a handler with them to take pictures, and the characters have never treated me any differently than anyone else dining in the restaurant.

As to the Hoop, I personally don't even go with other people - I'm not into corny humor which it what it seems to be, so that in and of itself would be a turn-off for me. But if I liked it, I don't see why there would be a problem going solo (though I might select a seat where I'm not in danger of being "singled out" so to speak...)

You've piqued my curiosity. Personally, I love character dining experiences but since I've begun traveling solo, I've shied away from the idea of booking any of these as I was worried I'd feel too self conscious. I've cruised Disney solo multiple times and rarely felt awkward about the fact, but something about the character buffets makes me hesitate. You're making me rethink my approach to the whole thing. Which character dining experiences have you done solo?

None this is my first time but I love to dine QSRs are not my thing
