Please forgive me, I posted this same question somewhere yesterday and now I can't find the question to see if anyone replied (so sorry):(

Anyways we are doing the disney dining plan, I hat the travel agent set everything up so I didn't realize that my 11 year old son is considered an adult. Which is fine except he could never finish an adult serving, and prefers the foods offered on the childs menu, I realize I will be paying for the adult meal plan for him but was wondering if its frowned upon if he were to order from the childs menu?

If you're paying for the dining plan, you shouldn't. It's going to cost you a lot more money than if you just paid out of pocket. Think about it: You're paying $55 a day for your son on the plan and you're asking if you can order off the kid's meal. I would call your agent or Disney and cancel the plan.

The simple answer is yes, you can.

Though the above poster is correct; kids meals are much cheaper so you're paying over the odds for the food. But still better value than ordered a adult meal to then have to pay for a kids meal when he doesn't want the food.

Aware though that the Dining Plan either is applied to everybody in a room or nobody; so it's not as simple as just cancelling your sons meal plan.
